I hate worrying...but I am! sad.gif I told you all that I got on the moniter last week because I told the doc that Wesley wasn't kicking much. I thought it was normal by this time, but since the doc was concerned...now I am! I barely felt him at all yesterday and so I drank some cold juice last night and waited...and waited...and I finally felt a few moves, but not much. And I barely felt anything today. Again, I layed down and ate some ice cream and he DID finally move, but still not much. Doc wants 10 good kicks per day...not sure if I got ten today.

Doc said I can call anytime and get on the moniter, but I feel like I'm over-worrying, kwim? I thought maybe the placenta is in front and that Wesley is way in the back. Is that possible? I know I have more growing to do, so it's not like I've maxed out the space in there yet.......... unsure.gif

What should I do? Should I just relax and wait until tomorrow to see if the kicks pick up?

Noah did that to me- he was very inactive in utero. Even during a non stress test when I was overdue, nothing seemed to rouse him much- not the cold juice, not the loud noise on my stomach, finally, they whipped out some buzzer thing that worked. Being worried is part of being pg, and I would take the doc up on his offer to get on the monitor if it makes you feel better. But some kids are just more mellow inside.

Thanks Jeanne! That makes me feel better. I thought Wil slowed down by this time, but this doc (which is different from my last one) seemed concerned. I have to keep reminding myself what you said...some kids are just more mellow!! I need to stop comparing my two pregnancies!

hug.gif i know it's hard not to worry but you answered your own question.. my placenta was in front also so i went days without feeling any movement and as you can see, Kaleigh is just perfect wink.gif can you maybe get one of those monitors or even a stethoscope to keep your mind at ease? soon enough your bean won't be so little and you will feel every movement. hang in there hug.gif hug.gif

Brae was also very inactive, except for at night when I was trying to sleep! it could just be that during the day when you're busy you're rocking him to sleep..and then he moves at night while YOU are asleep!

None the less, I ended up doing the non stress test 1x a week at the end..more so for the dr's peace of mind than my own!

ITA! This one is alot more mellow than Lorelei was, so I know what you're going through. Definately take the Dr. up on the offer to give yourself piece of mind, and help yourself relax a little. hug.gif

Kayla did that a couple of times and it scared the day lights out of us. What we found that worked was putting some headphones on my belly and play mozart or some fast upbeat music. I'm sure everything is all right hug.gif

This was Katy...the buzzer was the only thing that got her going.

I also had an anterior placenta and was in testing due to lack of movement until the day I delivered.

I'd at least call in the morning. I got on the monitor once or twice with Kylie. She only scared me once that I remember.

Megan didn't move a lot in that 8th month and it scared the dickens out of me. They did so many sonos that I didn't have to be on a monitor to tell, though. blush.gif The placenta was in an odd place meaning i needed monitoring often as well.

I'll probably call tomorrow if I don't feel anything when I go to bed tonight. That's usually when he's the most active. I would like another sono, so I'll ask if they'll do one instead of just the moniter.

I would definetly call the doctor and just make sure and if you are nervous go get monitered..that is what they are there for KWIM ?? hug.gif

Also I wanted to reassure you why your doctor might have acted concerned:

---If this is new for you they have to wonder why did the movement all of a sudden or lately slow down??

---This can be normal at this stage and some kids are more mellow but they need to make sure that your fluid isn't low (which would require U/S tongue.gif ) You aren't feeling any leaking or wetness are you? Just making sure blush.gif

---Monitering the baby with Nonstress test just lets them know that the babies heart rate looks good and that there is no need for any concern.

If anything looked suspicous they would have monitered you at hospital or done u/s...I'm sure you are fine but just call they are there for you! Keep me posted! hug.gif hug.gif Kristi hug.gif

Well, I know that towards the end the baby is supposed to get less active, but I guess 33 weeks is still not quite there yet...I'm not sure what to tell you, but try not to stress Rae...

My last pregnancy with my daughter, Krissy... she was very inactive. It wasn't even like I was pregnant, just fat. Seriously. No morning sickness, no major back pain, no kicking. She turned out to be a very mellow baby, too.

Now with Taryn... I thought I was having an alien! She kicked constantly, so while I was a little nervous with Krissy, I was relieved that it wasn't the alien reborn.

Thanks Kristi! I love that you work at an OB office...although I'm not sure if you're home now. Anyway, no, I'm not having any leaking that I know of. And I'm measuring fine...Doesn't your measurements go down when you're leaking? I haven't felt much movement this morning, even after eating breakfast, so I'm probably going to give them a call. I'll keep you all posted! Thanks everyone!

I definitely think I'd give a call just to be safe. I was thinking about you late last night Rae wondering if your little guy started moving. hug.gif Let us know what you find out.
