My little girl LeeAnn has started breaking out sometimes when we take her outside. Now it's not every time she goes outside, just sometimes. What happens is she gets red spots all over her face, swelling under her eyes (mainly the right eye), and watery eyes(mainly the right eye) and she has these dark circles under her eyes. Which i have heard can be associated with allergies. Sometime these circles are worse then other days. I talked with her ped about this. She said this is very rare for a baby her age to have allergies yet to the like the out doors. She is 9 1/2 months old. Been having this problem of and on for a few months now. She did say it sounded like allergies and referred me to an allergy specialist. We have really noticed it when we have taken her to this place called Bennetts. It's a local place where you can buy flowers they grow (a huge greenhouse). Both times she went there she was really bad. I am worried that when we go to the specialist he is just going to think i am cray. My friend took her little boy at six months to this same specialist because he had hives really bad for a couple of months. He did do some testing, but pretty much thought she was nuts. I really do think there is something bothering my little girl. I want to know what is going on with her. As a mother it really furstrating to see her face get like that. she starts rubbing her eyes when it happens. I feel bad for her. Has anyone else had problems like this with their baby at a young age?

My DD was alergic to water and anything made by johnson and johnson. Go figure water. She had grown out of it now. I had to put this special creme on her before I could give her a bath. That was expensive. Thankfully she has grown out of it now though. But as for your child I have never heard of that. I would call the DR. and take them in for a check up and see the DR says. Good Luck

my ped said its unlikely for a bay that young to have allergies, but it does sound like thats what it is. When you go see the specialist be insistant that she has worse symptoms at the greenhouse...sounds like a pollen allergy

Just like Mya my dd. I would get your little one into a specialist as soon as you can. Mya wouldn't get on any major meds until she was two but she's soo bad now even so she's kept inside as much as possible. I hope things work out better for you.

Alyssa has allergies and she has had them all her life but we didn't start any meds until she was 12 months old. Talk to your ped about it they might be able to start her on something..

Thanks for everyones help. She sees a specialist on the 15th of July. I really can't wait to get this problem figured out. I just hope that the specialist doesn't think i am stupid or something. Since everyone keeps telling she can't have them now.

Good luck with the appt.
Emily had allergies but eventually she just grew out of them too. She was allergic to lots of creams and lotions and to certain colourings in food. |
