McD's & preschoolers
Every time I see Ronald on the Disney channel I just roll my eyes. Apparenly, the kids are eating it up (no pun intended) . . . -------------------- |

That's kind of funny. I tried telling Brooke that her dinner came from McDonald's when she didn't want to eat the macaroni salad (granted, I had no boxes or anything) and she just looked at my funny and said "Mommy! McDonald's doesn't make macaroni salad!"

I'm not sure I buy this article... I mean if the apple juice I understand and if they compared french fries I'd say okay....
But a carrot-eating preschooler??? I think if I tried to pass off carrots for a meal from mcdonalds to any of the tots I babysit I'd be laughed out of the house! -------------------- ~Rachel~ Godmommy to;Connor (September '04) & Caydence (August '06)

Well if their advertising is so powerful (and I believe it is, my kids "love" mcdonalds & always wanna go, but dont eat all the food when they get it....go figure) then they need to revamp their kids meals with stuff like celery & carrot sticks, raisins, keep the apples, add oranges or peaches or other fruits & find a way to lower the fat in their food & promote THAT to kids. I'd be way likely to let my kids eat there if they would have healthier meals. We only get the chicken nuggets, apples, and milk- no fries or soda.
I wish more ff places had really healthy kid choices. My kids are happy to eat the apples from McDonalds and the yogurt and oranges from Wendy's. I think Subway should have a a drive through. I love Subway, its so much healthier, but its such a PIA to drag 4 kids in. And sometimes we need concenience food, ya know? I wish convenience = healthier. -------------------- Crystal
