Dr. Visit Today

I went into the doctor for my 5 month check up today. The baby's heartbeat was in the 140's and everything measured good. She did yell at me because I have only gained one pound and she is not happy about that. She said I better gain more weight by the next visit.

I'm suppose to have the sugar glucose test done at the next visit, but I told her I may have to pass because my insurance is not covering a lot this time. I got a bill for $315.00 for all the bloodwork that was done at the first appointment. She told I don't have a choice that it is required. If I don't have money to pay for it, how can she force me to have it done? I was a bit annoyed. It's not that I don't want to do it but when you have to pay for it, things change.

Aw that sucks that you have to pay for the labs. How are you feeling? Have you had your glucose test yet?

Tell her to send you through the clinic for tests
When I was preggo with all my 4 children I refused all tests but the normal blood work and urine tests.
If your not showing signs of problems then why bother.

can you get on medicaid? that would pay for everything

I was able to go get on medicaid because my husband got laid off and lost his medical insurance, so that will help.

I had my 6th month appointment on Tuesday and I gained 7 pounds!! So they are very happy with my weight gain. I had the sugar glucose test done and have not heard anything, so I think it went well.
