I posted yesterday about Emma congestion. She has a stuffy nose and her temp is about 99.1. I don't even know that is considerd a fever.

anyway, last night I put her up to bed in her bouncy seat (her doc said to keep her head elevated to help with the congestion) at about 11-ish and she slept until 6:30 am. She pooped, I changed her and she drank 2 ounces and went back to sleep. Now its almost 9am and she is still sound asleep.

Of course I am happy she slept all night, but because of her cold, I am begining to wonder if the cold is killing her appetite or making her overly tired.
should I call the ped again?

I would call just get thier advice. I wouldnt worry to much. If she has a cold the best thing for her right now is sleep. 99.1 isnt that high. I never really worry about the fever untill it hits 100. Then I am breaking out the motrin or the tylenol. I hope she feels better soon.

I would call the ped just to check on the fever and you might be able to use a cool mist humidifier for her congestion. Hope she gets well soon.

my kids do this near the end of a cold too.. catching up on all the lost sleep. i think it's normal as long as she is hydrated, but call the ped just to ease your mind. that's what they are there for wink.gif hug.gif

I'd say she is sleeping it off. I don't think it's anything to worry about. I'm glad she's feeling better!

Glad she's feeling better. Maybe she's thinking of letting you sleep a little bit more now. tongue.gif

I'm glad she is feeling better, it sounds like sleep is just what she needed. hug.gif

Doesn't it always seem like when they do finally sleep for a long period of time, we still don't get sleep any because we are worried about them.
