I had my 36 week appointment today even though I am almost 37 weeks. They said everything looks fine but my blood pressure was kind of high. It was 128/70 which is normal but high for me. Usually when I am preg it is very low. Anyway, the doc wasn't too concerned, but he wants me back for my next week appointment earlier than next thursday, so I made the appointment for Monday.

I told him that I have been having some contrax...no painful but just tight feeling and a little pressure down below. He said that it all normal for this stage. I also told him that I am terrified of labor because of the hard time I had pushing when I was in labor for Jason. And I reminded him that Jason had to be vaccuum assisted and was admitted and treated for the strep B.....he reassured me that the 2nd delivery is generally easier and I'll be treated with antibiotics to help prevent the strep from infecting Emma.

Oh, I can't believe you're so close already, Edie! It seems like last week you gave us the news. I'm so excited for you hug.gif I hope the blood pressure thing was just a fluke, and that this delivery is much easier. I can vouch for the doctor's theory: my older sister, first born, was delivered with forceps after a 48 hour labor, but I, the next baby, was delivered without assistance after 8 hours of labor.

WOW you are getting close, maybe the BP was just nerves about getting so close. Did they test you for strep b?

no, I wasn't tested with this pregnancy becasue I was positive with Jason, they just assume that I am still positive so I am treated for it regardless
