It's sorta freaky to look at my ticker and see that I only have 3 days left! And it makes me depressed...I'm sorry for saying that too, because I know I should just be happy that baby is doing fine and he just doesn't want to come out yet. But it's dissapointing. I had some consistent contractions last night, which were actually 8 min apart, but they stopped somewhere in the middle of the night. I was sure I would be in the hospital today...but I'm still here.
Anyhow, so what happens when my ticker hits my due date? Do they ever go past? Just curious... I'm sitting here staring at the phone because I'm supposed to call my doc today and schedule an induction for a week from today (or Wed). But I feel really strange scheduling it. They want a week's notice, plus they won't let me go a week over, so I need to do it sometime that week. I was induced five days after my EDD with Wil, so it would be about the same in terms of timing and I actually had a GREAT experience. But I didn't "schedule" it last time... Just needed to vent......... -------------------- Rae SAHM to Wil (4) and Wesley (2) ~ Wife to Richard 10/20/01

I understand your frustration sweetie. I was that way when PG with Lorelei. I thought for sure she was NEVER going to come out, and then right on her due date out she came. Maybe Wes will be like that!
To answer your other question...yes tickers will say "X days over due" if you go past and don't change them. I mistakingly typed in the wrong date on mine once and it said like 186 days over due Luckily I fixed it right away. lol Do you think your Dr. could strip your membranes at your next appointment to help start you naturally? At least you know he can't stay in there forever. -------------------- Erika

Well, today it just says that "I am 40 weeks pregnant"...I know they do go past, some say "I'm overdue" or "I've arrived" things like that! We'll see, eh?
