Have any of your children been retested for their FA and it turned out to be negative the second time? I'm taking Wil to the allergist in a couple weeks to be retested. The doc told me that it's most likely he will be allergic to tree nuts for life, but I'm wondering if he is okay with seeds and lemon. I'm hoping at least. My fear is that they'll find something new.

Just curious if I'm having false hope or it's truly possible. Any experience?

my niece just got re tested for her nut allergy, and it is still there, bad as ever.
I really don't know much about it, but I would assume that those with very minor allergies would have a better chance of out growing it than those with with severe allergies.

That's too bad. sad.gif I've heard that for those with sever FA, each reaction is worse. Fortunately for us, Wil has only had one reaction and that was the initial reaction that made me get him tested in the first place. Knock on wood. He sneezes a lot in the morning, could be seasonal, but nothing a little benadryl can't control. There is a lot of mold and pollen here. But sometimes he gets a little itchy from eating things too, which is why I hope he doesn't have a new allergy I am unaware of, like corn or fruits (I think I'm allergic to strawberries myself, get major rash lately). We will see. Fingers crossed.

Oh, I forgot to add something. Which is totally why I posted this in the first place. See, Wil was first tested for grapes and orange and those came back high. But then he was retested 6 months later and he is fine with them both. Anyone know why this happens for certain? We haven't been retested for seeds yet, so this is why I'm hoping he's okay with them now.
