Newbie Group: Members Posts: 1 Member No.: 15,957 Joined: 27-September 07	[B]hey everyone i kno that this might be a dumb question but I need to kno..I know the few days before you ovulate are good times to have sex if you are trying to have a baby but what about the actual day of your ovulation? Are the chances just as high as the day before or no? I have been trying to have a baby for only about 1 months now or so.. I am supost to ovulate today and i didn't have a chance to do ne thing the last few days so I was wondering if today would be just as good? If someone could please help me out with that ?. Thank you. While it IS possible to get pregnant if you DTD the day of ovulation, it's not as likely. The reason is that te egg only lives 12-24 hours, and it takes sperm some numer of hours to make the journey to the correct fallopian tubes. As I said, not impossible, but it is ideal to have sex anywhere from 1-3 days before. --------------------
