I called Southeastern Fertility Center yesterday. Talked to a VERY SWEET lady there and she told me that they normally don't treat women under 21. So we talked a little about my situation, told her we wanted the kids close in age and whatnot. Then she said well, I am going to talk with Dr. so and so and see if he will treat you, since you guys already have one child and are married and what not.

SO, she called me today AND ...
THEY ARE GOING TO TREAT US
yay!! we are so excited. So we have our consultation on May 31st, and they are going to take blood from me check my hormone levels, which I have had done a few years ago and my hormones were all wack, and they are going to do an ultrasound and all that jazz.

She said they dr. told her he would LOVE to help us get our second child. smile.gif we are so stinking excited I can barely control myself. However I have to , we have decided not to tell FAMILY until we are 12 weeks along that way the stress isn't so much and our family won't worry like they did last time with Isabella.

YAY .... So you guys will be my go to for all the good news. She said the dr. was talking and said that he thinks IUI is what treatment we will try. Although it isn't for sure yet ... but that is what he is thinking. That and taking meds to help me ovulate. Since < I suppose I don't do that with no AF and all.

Well, thats all for now. I have to look through my new patient packet and see what all we need to fill out. Now we just have a few weeks and we will be on the way to hopefully baby numero 2 and possibly numero 3 depending on treatment wink.gif

That's great news!

I do have one question though, and its out of curiousity for my personal knowledge-NOT meant to sound like a criticism or comment. Is the reason they are agreeing to treat you because of certain complications/difficulties with your last pregnancy (I could swear you were the one who mentioned those things, but I might have joined the boards too late to know about it...)? Is there any truth to the fact that fertility specialists will not intervene until a couple has been trying to conceive for over a year?

Again, that's just my personal questions- not meant to insult!

That's wonderful news for you all- I'm thrilled to hear of your progress!

Not insulted at all. Most fertility specialist won't intervene until you have been trying for a year. However, I have Poly Cystic ovaries, and amenoreha, so on the ODD chance that I do ovulate and release an egg, it goes and attaches to my ovaries.

I also did have a good deal of complications with Isabella, so they are going to treat us. Also most places won't treat until you are 21 as well. But we are a special case I guess.

Good for you two! That's such exciting news...hope we hear even better news soon! smile.gif

Thanks for answering my questions. I was just curious because of certain problems I had with a previous pregnancy/miscarriage- I was wondering if it was even worth it to try contacting a specialist because we haven't been trying for a year yet, plus I had three pregnancies occur problem-free. I've never done much research on the issue, just was curious.

There are many women who have problem free pregnancies that go on to experience problems in subsequent pregnancies ... AHHH I have read so many books and know more than I thought I would ever know about infertility and fertility problems.

WE GOT OUR APPOINTMENT ...
We are going in Wednesday ... so I will update everyone after the appointment with what they said and what they think is best for us!

We are still debating on what and when to tell our family, we know they will be betrayed when we tell them if we don't tell them now. But they also would freak out because they all think we should be HAPPY with Bella, which we are but we want another baby. But they think we should count our blessings and just stick with one. I was told that getting a hysterectomy would be a good choice and both of our families were like YA THAT WOULD BE GREAT. But I think it is because of all of the stress with Bella ... so ... any suggestions on what and when to tell them without hurting their feelings??

He is nervous about telling them just as I am. Just because we are the youngest in both families so they are all in our buisness no matter what we do it isn't what they want for us.

So we just don't know what to tell them or how. We were thinking about waiting until we are 12 weeks, but we know they will feel betrayed, and so we were thinking about telling them when we found out we were pg. But then they would be upset that we didn't tell them we were trying. SO it is like a lose lose situation.

We want to tell it to the world because we are so excited .. but our family has enough on their plates without us trying to get pregnant.
(his mom is selling her moms house because she was put in an assisted living center, my mom dealing with my sister being in rehab ) so its a big mess and we don't want to add any stress to what they already have but we know they are going to be hurt that we didn't share it ... BLAH ... how annoying !

Thanks for all of your guys help!!
