There have been a lot more recalls due to lead paint, including the Laugh N Learn Kitchen and Northern Tool "Big Red" Wagon.

Here's the list:

Saw this in my inbox this morning. Thanks for posting, Dee Dee!

Also, if anyone has Bindeez beads, they have been pulled off the shelves here in Australia.

I am not sure if they go by the same name in the US, but if they are eaten they have chemicals in them that if ingested, becomes the party drug Fantasy, which is liquid ecstacy.

Why on earth would a childs toy need to contain ingredients like that? It's sickening, this particular type of drug is most commonly used to drug women so they can be raped. It shouldn't be in a children's toy, ever.

God I'm scared to buy any toys for carly - I bought her that laugh n learn kitchen, they offered to send a repair kit ut I don't want to mess around - I'm taking it back today. What the heck do I get my child for christmas that isn't going to be recalled?!?!?!?!

yep. Scary stuff. So far, we've been lucky and not had any of the recalled items. The girls have some "trendy" stuff but we try to focus on the learning and imagination type toys that we had as kids. Wooden blocks and toys (unpainted usually), regular fashion dolls like barbie, plastic animals, computer games and lots and lots of books. I have a feeling that the older classic toys and books will be big this year.
