BOO
This morning I started contracting around 8 am. It is now 2:14 my time and I have since been admitted to the hospital for pre-term labor. GRRR I have been having contractions about every 3 minutes. They have no clue how long they are going to keep me or when I will be able to eat so for now I have my trusty laptop and some stinking ice chips! -------------------- Jessica

Oh no! I was just posting another topic about preterm labor. I hope they don't have to put you on magnesium, but whatever it takes to keep that baby in there. Hang in there and keep us posted!

YUCK! I don't even remember what they gave me to stop labor with the twins but I do remember getting steroid shots for their lungs. I hope you're able to get them stopped and go home, and if so do you have some help so you're able to really stay off your feet?

Thankfully I am home!!
I didn't have any dilation. My cervix is SOFT SOFT SOFT. The did a growth scan on the baby when I was there and good but bad news, he is almost 4lbs. I was sent home with orders to up my procardia to 20mg every 6hours, and modified bed rest < which I was told would be my last stop before being admitted to the antepartum unit. I have to go in on Friday to have a Fetal FibroNectin test, which if positive means the odds are I will have the baby in two weeks or less. If it is negative we are good for atleast two weeks. I will then go back to the Dr. on wednesday and see my reg. Dr. and she will asses me and then Thursday I will go back down to the hospital and be seen at the High Risk OB clinic where they will together come up with a plan of action on what is the best course for me considering my history. SO for now, I am hanging out on the couch, "barking" orders at DH < he said it not me. Really though I am struggling to allow him to take over all the chores, I feel horrible for it. But like he said, it is totally worth it if we get a 35 weeker. We are aiming for 35 at this point. -------------------- Jessica

4 lbs is a good start, if you could make it to 35 weeks you'd have a healthy baby (Robbie was born at 35 weeks weighing 6.5). Take it easy and try and stay off your feet.

Isaia was born at 34 weighing 6lbs 13oz. So I know we won't have an issue in the weight department.
When she started the US she said HOLY COW you have a big baby in there. She said when did you get your due date? I said, I had US determine at 6weeks. She said Oh ok ... he is HUGE! LOL She was shocked because I am small. DH was 9lbs 4oz and I was 9lbs 8oz. I can grow a big baby, I just can't keep it in long enough for it to be HUGE like that at birth. *secretly I am thankful ... OUCH* Thanks for all the well wishes ... I start having contractions about 15 - 20 minutes before it is time to take new meds but the meds make them go away. So we are good in that area. I get my 17P shot today and an appointment tomorrow and then two appointments plus my shot next week I feel like I will be living my remainding pregnant days out in the Dr.s office ... -------------------- Jessica
