Do you guys think it's important for you kids to see you and their other parent together from time to time? I know my daughter loves it when me and her dad are together even if its just playing at the park for a little while.

I agree with Shelly
I also think its important for them to see both parents at things like school functions.
My parents are divorced, have been since I was in the 6th grade...and I still like seeing them get along in the same room, they both come to my son's birthday parties and things like that and its comforting I guess in a way to have both of them at the same time.

Absolutely.

My parents are divorced... and for a long time couldn't stand to be around each other. They came through for me at my wedding a few years ago.. and danced together after the daddy/daughter and mother/son dances... both sets of parents danced with each other. It made several people cry, because they all knew how horrible they got along.

get along yes but not be together doing somthing. for me my fear with that would be a sence of false hope for the child. that mom and dad are getting back together. I've got enough to deal with as is with mine then to try and explain any more to her emlaugh.gif

I think its definitely important to show ur child that u and ur partner are together as well as both independent so he/she realizes not to be needy, but that they could also be loving
