I am so sick of being sick. my nausea seems to be getting worse every day. I have been wearing my sea bands around the clock. Eating saltines like crazy, I started this morning sickness herb combo pill thing monday, and I am still waiting for that to kick in. I haven't managed to actually puke yet, I just have this dull nausea all day every day that won't go away.
I am having the worse time eating since nothing sounds good, I can't seem to get actual food anywhere near my mouth. Finally wed. It occurred to me to get some TV dinners so when I am actually hungry I can quickly prepare myself something to eat. I managed to eat 3 small meals yesterday that way. rolleyes.gif I have about a 3 minute window between when I feel hungry and when I feel like I may yack. rolleyes.gif
only what 4-6 ish weeks before this stuff goes away. (cross your fingers) wacko.gif

I had terrible, terrible ms with the twins. Try ginger snaps and/or peppermint anything...gum, tea, mints. And Gatorade helped for some reason too. I hope it goes away soon hug.gif

I have some ginger candy that helped me initially, but it seemed to trigger my nausea in church last week so now I can't bring my self to eat those either. rolleyes.gif

I never had it this bad with Ben or Al. Every woman in my family has taken it upon them selves to mention that its probably twins since I am feeling so icky this time. dry.gif How is that appropriate? Next I can look forward to the "are you SURE there is just one? " statements. rolleyes.gif laugh.gif

I'm still hoping for multiples for you, T. cool.gif
And I'm also hoping that your ms goes away soon. hug.gif
Do multiples make you more sick? Boy, poor Kate Gosselin must have been tossing her cookies for 40 weeks straight if that's the case....

Not always, but it's double everything so the ms is usually worse.

Tara, I always swear by Coca Cola syrup for nausea too. You can usually ask the pharmacist for it....it's very thick and sweet but as an anti nausea med it's great, you pour a tablespoon over ice and let it set for a minute and sip it. Sounds awful but works great. Next best thing is sipping a room temp coke....something in the syrup is an anti nausea ingredient.

Benadryl is supposed to work too, and I did have to resort to that anti nausea stuff, I can't think of the name of it but it's 100% safe for pg women. I'll try to remember the name.

I'm sure you know you could try zofran or phenergan if you wanted to, being in the med professional, but I assume you dont want to do that...they make you so sleepy anyway.

i remember ms...so terrible, i had it very badly with my 1st and 3rd kids, but esp my first. i actually lost 20 lbs bc I was so sick, i didnt gain any weight til i was like 6 months pregnant.

i second stuff like gatorade to drink, it'll help a little.

can you try other sorts of hard candy that dont make you nauseated?? sometimes eating a small piece of hard candy would make the nausea go away enough for me to quickly eat something.

i totally know what you mean about that 3 minute period to eat & suddenly feel sick again.

i couldnt even go grocery shopping for like 4 months bc any section that wasnt a dry good/boxed section (ie meat, dairy, fruit, bakery) would set me off dry heaving in the store. it was pretty terrible, i ended up having to take medicine bc nothing "natural" would work enough) I usually was able to eat 1 very small meal a day (like a piece of toast and a few bites of soup and lots of water or gatorade) and felt very very weak.

I really hope you feel better soon!

hug.gif hug.gif bless your heart.. that is absolutely NO fun at all!!! I feel your pain I stayed pretty nauseous with Autumn especially first thing in the morning.. if I slept past 9 it was better but if I was up before then I was in the bathroom. I couldn't drink water before eating or I would get sick. I really didn't enjoy being pregnant with her much between the braxton hicks and nausea.
I was trying to think what worked for me but I honestly can't think of anything that REALLY helped.. I tried ginger ale but it only worked for a few minutes.. someone told me once to get some ginger and put it in EVERYTHING that supposedly worked. I never tried. I chewed a LOT of gum that helped keep that feeling right before you throw up a little less intense, that is about the only thing that actually helped. My "morning" sickness went away the day I turned 20 weeks.
