I watched a documentary last night about a group of kids and young adults coming together to take their 15 year old friend with musuclar dystrophy on a cross country road trip. Their goal was to get his wheelchair customized on MTV's Pimp My Ride (sounds crazy I know). The movie was incredibly moving and I just cannot imagine how proud their parents must be of them. Darius Goes West is the name of the movie. I highly recommend it.
P.S- on top of all this, all the money they make of sales goes to muscular dystrophy research. I am amazed. |
