It went ok - she put me on Lexapro. It's a really low dose - 5 mg for the first week and then I'm supposed to start taking 10 mg and then maybe up to 20. I really wish I could have seen my OB instead of her - the nurse practitioner was nice and very sympathetic, but she didn't really talk to me about what I was feeling or ask me any questions. She just came in and started talking and then told me what to take. I'm supposed to go back to see her in 2 to 4 weeks, but I think I'll make the appointment with my OB instead. It would have been about a 2 week wait to get in to see my OB for this, so I guess it's good that I went to see this other lady. But I like my OB so much better.

well that sounds a bit dissapointing, just putting you on meds with out talking much to you about what your feeling....well I hope you do get to see your OB and talk to them.

I'm glad you got in to see someone, but that would have frustrated me too. I hope you see some improvement soon.

Well,,,, I think its good that you were able to start the meds. If you are able to make your followup with your OB,,,then all is well ! I sincerely hope you start feeling better soon.

Give the lexapro a shot but I agree if you are more comfortable with your OB make an appointment with her
I hope it helps but remember it takes time for it to kick in for me though knowing relief was on its way was a huge help in itself -------------------- |

I'm on a med similar to Lexapro from PPD/BiPD - Citalopram. It really helps, makes me feel human again! I would have never been able to go back to work and take care of everything without it, I really hope you have good results!
