I did with Tripp. He was breech for about 4 months, never moved. I refused to have them try and move him, a woman knows her body and I knew there was no room for him to turn. I had a very successful smooth C-section with a very quick recovery time. Are you considering one? Do you have a medical reason?

Wait a minute...I'm confused. You want a medicated birth so you are considering a csection? I've had 2 sections and both were fine, but I don't think I'd go this route if I'm reading you right. Get an epidural if you don't want to do natural, not major surgery. Your recovery time will be much longer with a csection than with a vaginal birth. (That was a positive aspect for me, though. More sympathy ) Seriously, though, don't go from one of the spectrum (natural) to the other (surgery). The middle ground is a better place to start. -------------------- Lisa, SAHM to Megan and Alec

Can you tell where I stand on that
I don't think your doc would OK a section without a medical reason, anyway. -------------------- Lisa, SAHM to Megan and Alec

I agree! I would have totally just gone with an epidural if there were no medical reason for me to have a C-section, much safer and much less of a recovery time, I couldn't even sit up for a week and I was nursing talk about PAIN!!!! Good luck with whatever you decide.
FYI for some people, a lot of docs now, mine included will give C-sections just because! -------------------- |

natural births are better for the baby. The chest being squeezed when the baby is being pushed out helps clear the fluid out of its lungs and helps it take a large first breath, which helps the lungs pop open better.
There is deffinately a place for c-sections, but I wouldn't have an elective one. I say, if you gotta, try an epidural first. |
