Hair color question

Ok...I died my hair after I had Russell and it was suppose to be a dark brown with red highlights in it...kind of like my avatar pic. But it came out horribly wrong. It came out right on the top,,,but the bottom was completely black...black black. Anyways..it has faded some but dh said that when we go to see his mom..we will have someone babysit while we go get it fixed. I want to get something done that looks cool and young looking...I feel old. Has anyone seen the hair highligted where they use a huge range of colors...from med blond to dark brown...kind of like stripes? I want that...is that considered cool...or am I being redicioulous...I will try to find a picture to post.

I know what your talking about I think that sounds like it will be pretty in your picture you have light skin and dark hair some lighter highlights will REALLY bring out your face give it more of a "glow" does that sound weird? anyway I think that sounds like a really great idea I wouldn't go to light because you will want to see if you like it first. My hair has lots of highlights and lowlights..which is pretty much what you are refering to

Obviously browns will look great on you, I go for a lighter look. I have dark blonde hair naturally, but it is kind of boring..so I go and she foils my hair so that some of the strands are my natural color, some have blonde blonde highlights and some have a caramel light brown color and then after that has dried for long enough she takes me to the sink where she takes all of the foil out and then brushes on a color called 7-up all over my hair which gives it even more spunk and different hues.

Long story short..yeah go for it!!!!! I think it will look great..get her/him to give you a sexxy layered cut while you're there too! That type of color looks great with a sort of chunked cut!! Plus, it will make you feel young and sexy!!!!!

I think that it sounds great. I like the looks of blondes to frame the face.
I usually do this..but I haven't lately...

I even liked when Christina Aguilera(sp?) did the blonde and black..

I am still growing out my bangs!!! yuck yuck..they are chin length!

Wow - you are brave! I would never try and color my hair alone. I suck at that kind of stuff! lol I would stick to the red highlights. What is your natural color? You might could try something like that with just highlights. I leave my hair its natural color (which is brown) and I have blonde highlights put in. I like it.

Its about the color of that picture...darker though....almost black. I have gone carmel blonde before....I loved it. But I don't want to pay to upkeep it again. Alot of people I worked with thought I was a natural blonde for a long time...then when my roots started showing they got confused...lol. I want to go kind of more extreme this time...I want the highlights to range from really dark to like a carmel blonde color....just colorfull...I saw it on this girl one time and it was sooo cool.

I'd go for chunky, obvious highlights. I think they look cool when done right.

Okay, I don't know what's "cool", but I say go for it. My 25 year old sister says I have no "style" so I wouldn't take my word on anything when it comes to fashion.

You guys haven't seen pics but I have my hair done like this except my lowlights are extreme - I need to take a pic and show you. I have these huge dark brown chunks amidst all this light blonde and the underneath of my hair which is longest part of my hair, the rest is shorter layers is a dark brown while the layers right over it are blonde and the dark sticks out in the back underneath the blonde! My hair is cool if you ask me I say do what you want to do if you don't like it you can always go back to the way it was that is my philosophy!

I am all about hte highlights - but I don't think you want to be quite this blond with the lowlights
