Just checking on how many fathers we have active in PC. I think we have about ten dads or dads-to-be actively posting, but it's so hard to keep track, especially with all the blabbering women (just kidding ladies; you know I love you all wink.gif ). I also want to thank Rod again for adding this forum, where male parents can have a little place to call their own. It's tough today being a parent, but especially for guys, who have traditionally not been the child nurturers in the family unit. I've enjoyed watching my kids grow and have also enjoyed giving my insight and a male perspective on some of the problems that have been topics of discussion. I'll continue as always, but I'll make sure to check in here.

I'm Ed from Southern NJ, and I have four children (2 and 2) from ages 13 up to 21. I work 2 full time jobs and have one son in college. I'm happily married to gr33n3y3z (Lisa) for 22 1/2 mostly blissful years.

For a sec, I will pretend like I am a father... and post here.

What a sweet thing to say about your wife and the blissful years. wub.gif

Sweet!!!

Hey all, I am Sal. I am married to Jessica (UrShootingStar31). We currently live in Charleston, SC and I am in the military, Jess is a SAHSTBM. We own our own business and the best part is that Jess will not have to work for anyone for the rest of her life (she is 19 now).

We are not so patiently awaiting our little girl, Isabella Marie (Bella for short). Jess is due any time between June 20th and August 14th. The Dr. said that he wants to keep Bella in there for at least two more weeks, but after that, if she is ready, they won't stop her....just like her dad...impatient! rolling_smile.gif

Glad to see all the dads and a new dream has come true by adding this forum. Today is a great day for PC!

WOW didnt know that...belle gonna be okay that early?

Posted by: salmndr007 Jun 7 2006, 09:57 AM
Well, the Dr. wants her to stay in till at least 32 weeks when the fluid passes through her lungs so she can breathe when she gets here. Jess has been having constant BH contractions and when she went in for her U/S Bella is already head down and getting ready to do her thing. The Dr. told Jess that she is to hang close and her stomach keeps getting lower and lower each day...so we will see...I am saying July 4th because that would just be awesome...Jess is saying July 30th

He's not really a techie geek. Techie, sure, but not really a geek. A geek could never have helped produce such an intelligent and outgoing little girl. tongue.gif

Ok. some of these postings are ancient. let's get this party started again. I am David. I have 2 boys of 10 and 6 and one little girl of 5. I guess I like learning from other parents and sometimes I may need a reality check and somewhere to post my questions and ideas about parenting. Hopefully this is a good place.

Also, if any of you are on facebook, I am the Creator of a group entitled "Being a Dad is awesome."

I didn't notice any "dad" groups on there, so I started one. Same purpose as this thread, but utilized on there.

Hope to see you,

Matt

Hi fellow dads! I'm from Piscataway, NJ. My wife and I have been married since August 2008 and our baby, Sophia, joined us last month (November 2009).

Hey Jersey day! I'm not a dad, but I did grow up in Jersey--north of you in Bergen County. Now, I live in upstate NY, but visit the old neighborhood frequently as my family still lives down there. Can't beat NJ for Italian food, bagels, and tax free shopping.
