I thought so too - I know BF babies poop changes as your milk changes but I am not sure at this point if it should still be changing - I think I would call her Ped - or maybe wait for one of the BF experts on her to chime in.....is she acting OK?

Hmm then I guess I wouldn't worry about it at all - have you eaten anything different or have you given her any formula or anything yet? If she is OK then I guess maybe just keep an eye on her.....

No formula at all.......I mean she is totally herself and the health nurse wasn't concerned the other night when we went for her shots.

It seems to me that they poop every feeding for the first few weeks then it slows down. I think even once a week for bf babies can be normal.

Hmm...I was told by Edward's doctor that it's normal for them to go without poop for up to 12 days. Since Edward was mainly formula fed, the doctor said it was normal for him to go 10 days without pooping. I'm unsure. As long as she's not acting abnormal, I wouldn't worry. If you feel concerned enough, call her doctor or the nursing hotline.

Ryan's normal was every 5 days and Nathan's was every 4 days, but we went a couple of 10 day stretches with Ryan, all totally normal for BF babies.

I always heard it was pretty normal for them to go once a week or twice a week, my kids pooped a lot more than that though. I can remember if either one of them went 2-3 days they were extremely cranky and irritable and acted as if they had to go...it would worry me but if she is acting ok I'd say she's fine. If she starts acting like she is straining and can't go then I'd call your ped.

I could set my clock to Annika after about 9 weeks. She would only poop on Sundays around 4 in the afternoon. Talk about explosive.
