baby crackers, when is too early?

New Member Group: Members Posts: 21 Member No.: 14,936 Joined: 7-September 07	I am just curious when everyone has started to give their babies "puffs" and crackers.. My little boy is 6 1/2 months and I have heard it is okay at this age, but I would like to hear the opinion of other mothers:) Thanks!!

I also wanted to add you can also break them in half when giving them to him for the first time. He had the pincer (sp?) grasp (using the two fingers) pretty early and was just ready. He also knew how to chew with his gums by then. It really all depends on how well your baby can chew and grasp. Some babies do it earlier than others, so I really don't think there is a set age.
