Madison will be a year old in almost 3 months . So when do we start mixing?

Also she is on soy formula so what's everyone going to do ( whoever is on soy) when we start regular milk?

I formula fed my first, and I never mixed the two, never really thought about that. I just switched him right over to milk. He was never on soy so I have no ideas on that one. Sorry!

I never mixed the two either with my oldest son just switched on over. It's like anything else you just have to watch for the first few days. I use 1% milk also. JMO smile.gif

My mom has had 5 kids and she said that she mixed breast milk with regular milk around 6 months and gradually less and less breast milk. She said that was the age they reccomended back then to start, but I think they want you to breastfeed longer now,,,so Im going to ask my doctor.

The AAP recommendations for BF now read AT LEAST one year - here's the quote from LLL pages:

The American Academy of Pediatrics currently recommends that "breastfeeding continue for at least 12 months, and thereafter for as long as mutually desired."

So, yes, it has changed a LOT - go BF!! teehee
