After battling thrush for the past 2 months or more, I finally decided to start to wean Nora. When she got sick, I thought we were going to be right back at it, but she really was losing interest fast. She wanted juice more than nursing most of the time As of this morning, it has been 3 days since she nursed. I'm pretty sure we are done. I went 26 months with Sophia (Nora is 19 months), but my heart just wasn't in it this time. After 5 years of either being pregnant or nursing a child without a single day's break, I'm ready to have my body back
Now, let's just hope this means the thrush will go away... this is terrible. Glad it's going well and hope the thrush goes away quickly.
I plan to wean Megan at 25 months, but right now w/the 2 year molars coming in we went from nursing 2x a day to nursing at least 6 if not more. -------------------- ~*Karen*~

Oh, it is such a relief to get your body back after EBF. Three days without was the significant watershed for us---she's obviously ready. Now thrush be gone!
