OK Folks,
What is going on with my son! I can barely change his diaper he arches his back and rolls over and screams. I am getting frustrated with it because LOGICALLY I can not let him walk / crawl around without a diaper on, he would pee everywhere. I am not sure what to do, when he doesnt get his way (ie: me holding him at every second) he is pulling on my pant leg, and screaming, or what have you. What do I do? Bella wasn't like this that I remember! -------------------- Jessica

maybe its a boy thing, all my kids got like that...
we just found things to hand them. (right now its dh's gameboy) to distract while we quickly changed a diaper. also if he does it when we are in the kitchen or what ever, grabs our legs we let him lay there and cry and walk away..(we have found most of the time there are no tears and its fake) good luck -------------------- Stacy, wife to Peter, mom to Caleb, Jakob, and Andrew

The phase stops eventually, or at least gets easier. Just show him you wont give in by him throwing a fit, and continue to change him. Aiden still gets wiggly, but I just persevere and change it no matter if he likes it or not. I hand him things to distract him, I will sing songs with him while I change him, and I'll try to make him laugh too while I am changing him to keep his mind off of the fact that he has to lay there for a whole 1-2 minutes.
![]() ![]() ETA: Oh, and with the tantrums if you're not holding him, I would just ignore them. Unless he is in danger to himself or someone else, ignore. You can't hold him 24/7 and he has to realize that. Thanks Ladies!!
It is always encouraging to know that I am not the only one that is dealing with this, or that has dealt with this. -------------------- Jessica
