I decided to just scan and show you guys my "portfoilo" pictures. I'll explain them too (b/c some need an explanation). Oh, and if they're too big, I'll need help resizing them...I'm clueless in that dept.
Pretty self explanatory, this is a pond. The only thing that irks me is the lower left hand corner, should of burnt it a LITTLE bit longer (but b/c of the swan (and having to burn IT) I didn't) and if you look the power line in the background is distracting. This is one of my FAVORITE pictures. I took it in an old mill that's close to my (now) house. It was just sitting in the corner covered w/cobwebs. I have to say this was a hard picture to print. It's on Fiber paper and my NEW stack of paper had a little light leaked to it, so the edges were fogged. Flower on my front porch Statue in somebody's yard I call her Angel, she doesn't have wings, but it fits. I had some light issues w/this one. I didn't have an external flash w/me, and it was dusk. I was actually walking home. This is a cool Lion (also in that mill) made of silverware. They had a lot of cool displays. Once again, lots of light issues. It was DARK in there. I can't believe it turned out as sharp as it did! Plant on the table. I was running out of things to take pictures of! This is Horror and Temptation in the same shot. LoL! The two issues, the light reflection on the plate and scale. I think it's a funny pic though. Beautiful covered bridge Flower "urn" on front porch This is the of my favorites (and Cyndi's favorite). We call him Celtic Man. It was taken at the Dayton Celtic Festival. Total candid shot, just walking raised the camera up (didn't even focus) and snapped and kept walking. This hangs in my front office area. -------------------- |

very nice pictures, Casey!
it's normal to have problems with lighting, especially if you're not carrying an external flash. at a recent wedding i shot, one of the bridesmaids dropped (and broke) my flash and i nearly had a heart attack, luckily i had a backup flash but still, there's something about seeing your flash drop to the ground that makes you shudder. keep shooting and keep practicing, you've got it in you. -------------------- |

OH, and since she didn't tell you. When we went back to the Celtic Festival this year, we looked for the Celtic Man and actually found him. He was one of the vendors there every year. Casey gave him a 5x7 of the pic and he was speechless. Well, other than saying, "that is typical me with the cigar hanging out of my mouth". It was cool being able to find him and give that pic to him.

My inital thought was to try and recruit an overweight, biker kind of man and see if I could con him into a sexy dress or something. But there was just no way, so this was the next thing I could think of. Notice the weight on the scale.... -------------------- |

That's so cool that you could find him again and give him a pic! Those are all sooo nice! You have a great eye. To critique just a bit (not that you asked or care ) the pic with the doughnut and scale is terrific but the plate is a bit distracting with the pattern. I think a white plate would be good. Like I said, I know you didn't ask. -------------------- |
