andrew is really sick..
he has had a fever of over 102 the last 4 days. our home is infested with strep throat.
caleb is on antibiotics..
jakob is coughing and really congested..

andrew is throwing up everything that we give him and right now is only on pedialyte. he had diarrhea for two days...he is very congested and had a red throat but they said his strep test was neg. they said his flu test was neg.
his chest x ray for pneumonia was neg. but they were sure it wasnt going to be..he had blood work yesterday and his white blood cells are showing something viral so they say..
i still want them to rest him for strep but that wont be done till monday.
i have seen the dr daily and called them thru out the night.

the dr suggested we try honey today and that has helped the cough.
we are using tylenol and motrin every 4 and 6hours..
but his fever is up to 103.7 and isnt coming down.
we are using wet clothes on his head and pulse points to keep him more comfortable..and he is just crying and crying for 4 days now.
the only thing that has helped is riding in the car he is only able to sleep there..so thank goodness gas is down..

i am open to suggestions if anyone has one...

With him throwing up and having diarrhea for so long, have you considered the ER? He is possibly getting dehydrated which will make it more difficult for his body to fight off the virus.
