Just what the title says - just wondering who all home-schools their children.
We are a HS family. This is our 2nd year, though only 1st legally. We didn't have to register until this year bc of his birthday. We plan on continuing HSing until we are led down a different path, be that next year or when they've both graduated high school. I am a little nervous about how I'll work things out when Waylon gets here, esp when he's 2 and we have field trips to go on! But I also think of it as a challenge that I can't wait to take on. It's bound to be an adventure! So, who else is among the ranks of the HS group? -------------------- |

I'm no longer included in this group but wanted to commend you for doing it. This will be our first year back to school after three years. There is a big part of me that wishes we still were but.....
It's quite possible we will go down that path again in the future but for now this is the new path we are on. As far as the field trips, I did it with three toddlers and it just always seems to work out. You'll be just fine!! -------------------- Jeanie - SAHM to Kristen 13, Cade 12, Conner 8, Keegan 3

I'll be home schooling 3 this year (K, 4th, and 5th) plus doing some preschool with Lissie, which feels a bit daunting, especially with Kate coming in November, but I plan on taking a chunk of time off after she gets here to give us all time to adjust. We are all really excited to get started-Our first day is going to be Tuesday or Wednesday.

I know what you mean, Lisa. It would really help if I could work, as long as I had a free sitter after school! LOL Otherwise most of my check would go to that... plus I run all the errands/do all the paperwork for my DH's business so we'd have to pay someone else to do that, too. I just wish I could get paid for the work I do at home, then we'd have it made!
ETA: Oh yeah, we scheduled our year out so that we can take about a month or so off when Waylon arrives. Knowing us we'll still do a little here and there when we can just bc Will will get all out of sorts with "nothing to do," but at least we have the time there if we need it. Yeah, we plan to take off from the time she is born, until the end of Christmas break. The older girls will probably keep working on things like Math and Grammar though-things they can do without much help from me. -------------------- ~*~Jennifer~*~

Homeschoolers here.
This is our 8th year. I have 2 dd's , one 13 yr. old and one is 11 yr. old. We have been homeschooling from the start and we will homeschool through high school as well. |

I homeschool all 5 of our kids. This is the first year for our oldest two (13 & 10). I've homeschooled our 8 & 6 yr olds from birth. Laycie is only 10 mths but I do some small things with her that I didn't start until later with my older kids (like tell her colors repeatedly and say words clearly so she learns better). I thought it would be harder to homeschool all 5 kids but it was actually harder to keep 3 different schedules when the oldest two were in school (school, home school, and baby). We are currently doing a unit study on America from the beginning.
