So I had my first actual app. today.. everything was normal and I had my first u/s.. I CRIED it was beautiful hearing that heartbeat for the first!!! The heartbeat was 174 beats per minute, my due date is May 24 and baby is measuring about 4days ahead of my due date and it has a chubby little belly lol It was great.. I got to talk to my Dr he was WONDERFUL (i knew I liked him before ) One of the first things we talked about was my previous c-section he asked questions and he is having my old Dr. transfer my op reports. He listened to how much I wanted to have a VBAC and he was kinda concerned he is actually nervous about doing it I think.. but he never said that and he never said i shouldn't do it.. he said he likes to do repeats because of the risk of rupturing, and possible problems with the baby.. so he kinda got me worried and I'm really going to start doing my research now. He also checked me and said that if I had never had a c-section before he would have though i wouldn't have ANY problems AT all having a natural birth. SOO that is a good thing.. anyway its a were going to talk more and decide a little later kind of thing.. I dunno Jeremiah really wants me to have a repeat c and i honestly don't know what I want now...
anyway here my little baby bean This post has been edited by alyssa'smommy on Oct 29 2007, 07:15 PM |

Good luck on the choice, I'm not sure what I would do in your situation. -------------------- Michelle

how wonderful! so does that mean its a girl with a heart beat like that?
you know speaking as someone who had the birth all planned out in my mind, details that I thought would make my birth experience "perfect"....all that matters in the end is a perfectly healthy baby. I really detested the idea of a c section, i felt that it was going to rob me of something, that it wouldnt be as a full filling experience, but honestly, it was...and more so. how that baby gets out of the body turned out not to be anywhere near as important as seeing it for the first time, and making sure it had all its toes and fingers, and how much hair, and how much it weighed...I still felt totally full filled, and totally proud of myself. so whatever you decide to do, just make sure its whats best, not some idea of what you think you need to have..I put myself thur so much unnecessary termoil, and worry, over it, and I didnt need too. there is nothing about a c section that makes it any less a joyous occassion. good luck to you. -------------------- Stacy, wife to Peter, mom to Caleb, Jakob, and Andrew

Awww!! That's an adorable bean you have. I know two women in the last few years who had successful VBAC's: one in the hospital and one at home.
This is so exciting! -------------------- Tracy, George and Daniel (11/25/02)

Awww you have the cutest little bean! I love US pics. I've heard of plenty of women having successful VBAC's but it's ultimately your decision and calebsmom is right, nomatter what it's seeing that precious baby for the first time.

hehe of course I'm hoping the end of december, at my dr.s office they do an u/s inbetween 9-12 wks and then again halfway through.. and then you get your 4d (which is 75 bucks for dvd, pictures and I heard a girl say she had 45minutes on her dvd) sooo I'm HOPING that my app in december is when I will get my u/s I will be close to 19wks then -------------------- |
