Approximately 32,000 units of the affected products were sold between Aug. 21 and Nov. 17, 2006. Product is known to have been distributed to Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Loblaws Group (Loblaws, Real Canadian Superstore, No Frills, Fortinos, Zehrs, Provigo), Safeway Canada and the Metro Richelieu Group (Super C, Metro, A&P, Dominion, Loeb, Food Basics).
Problem

Routine product testing that detected the presence of a micro-organism known as Burkholderia cepacia (B. cepacia). In general, this bacteria poses little medical risk to healthy people. However this bacteria can cause serious infections, including pneumonia and blood infection, in patients with weakened immune systems, chronic lung diseases, or cystic fibrosis. Products contaminated with B.cepacia should not be used on broken skin of babies or young children. Products that are affected may have a bad odour described as sour milk.
Remedy

Consumers are instructed to dispose or return for refund any product with the affected lot numbers or any wet wipe that has an odour like sour milk.

Oh my gosh I just about had a heart attack just now reading this. We have some Parents Choice at the moment. Thank god ours are not one of them!

Holy Crap! We have some Parent's choice one's in the other room. WOW.....

We have the 400 ct box of Parent's choice... usually we get the Kirkland ones from Costco, but we ran out before our trip there, so we bought these.

DH is on the way to the store RIGHT NOW to return them. We'd just bought them last week, so it's not much used... yet... but we use them for everything.

Yuck! I buy the Paren't Choice sometimes, but I think I buy the scented kind. Right now I have Target brand...so am I okay?

Gosh - I just saw this. And am glad I did. I could have SWORE the wipes smelled funny - Which is funny because we ALWAYS buy the unscented wipes because Andrew can't stand the "baby" smell that the other ones have.

I opened them today and MAN MAN MAN talk about getting hit with the smell of baby vomit!

Walmart says that they are taking these back with no problem... She joked that they need thier own return counter for these things. Our bar code didn't match what you posted, but the lady on the phone had several others and ours was one that she had.

i just sent this to steph and her dad...so they can check the houses.... we have some parents choice etc....so hope all is well.

The lady at walmart said that they are taking most, but just to be safe, they are swapping them all out.
