For the crust, I usually use my bread machine, because I can't get it to rise if I try making it from scratch. Or you can use pre-packaged pizza crust mixes, but I think from the bread machine or scratch is best (makes it softer). Spread dough into whatever pan you want (deep dish style, use a 13x9 in. pan. I use a jelly roll pan with 1 inch sides).

Then I cut up boneless, skinless chicken breasts, (or use leftover chicken and pull it off the bones into little pieces) into about 1 inch pieces. Cook it until well done, about 5-8 minutes. Add alfredo sauce (I love Five Brothers brand!). I use the whole jar; or save some for dipping the crust into if you wish. Spread on top of crust. Then add whatever toppings you would like (feel free to experiment!), top with mozzerella and cheddar cheese (or whatever kind you like). Bake for about 15-20 minutes at 400*, until nice and golden brown. Let stand for 5-10 minutes. Cut and ENJOY!!

Feel free to change whatever you'd like about this recipe. There's no wrong way to do it!

I just got a bread machine from my mom and would love to make use of it.....but I have no recipe book on how to make anything in it......what do you use to make your dough?

TIA, Crystal

That sounds really really yummy - yes, and any tips or recipes for the bread machine dough are also appreciated. My bread machine and I don't get along too well sometimes, I guess I was just not meant to bake - I have a hard time with bread and pie crusts - giggle

blush.gif Sorry, I didn't know you needed the recipe for that!

Add in this order, making sure yeast doesn't touch the water or salt. Use a spoon and make a little dip in the top of the flour.

For 1 1/2 pounds: For 2 pounds:
Water 7-8 ounces 9-11 ounces
Salt 1/2 teaspoon 3/4 teaspoon
Veg. oil 2 Tablespoons 3 Tablespoons
All-purpose flour 3 cups 4 cups
Active dry yeast 1 1/2 teaspoons 2 teaspoons

Then set your machine to Dough/Pasta (my cycle is 1 hour and 20 minutes long). Then pat into pan. Let stand for 10 minutes.

I like this recipe; it's a nice, soft, chewy crust!

K - one more ?

Have you ever done the dough the day before?? With having to let it rise and all, it's kinda hard doing it when we get home from work (our store doesn't close until 6 PM and by the time I get home and cook, well, it's usually 7 or 8 before we eat)......

I was wondering if you had, how it turns out with this...

Thanks!!

Added:
Hmmm....maybe I'll have to get a cheap timer for my bread machine and just set it up before I go to work - laugh.gif

I know what you mean about having time to cook! I've never tried it like that, so I don't know if it would work; I think the yeast might die out and it might not bake right. So it might be wise to invest in a delay timer smile.gif .

Good luck!

Well, flour and yeast are fairly cheap - maybe I'll just try it to see if refrigerating it then doing it the next day will work - and if it does, I'll let you know - I just won't make plans to eat pizza "for real" that night and if it works it'll be a suprise - giggle -

Added:
If anyone else has done that, please let us know??
Now maybe will have to go and get one of those pizza stones too - teehee
