In the morning, I always ask Ashley, "Want some cereal?" And, then I pretend like I am taking a bite and say with a big smile, "Yum Yum".

Well, this morning, I did the same thing. WHen I asked her if she wanted some cereal, she said "Sh*t" ohmy.gif ohmy.gif I think she might have been trying to say cereal, LOL.

So, I took a bite and said, "Yum Yum" and she said "Yum Yum" laugh.gif thumb.gif laugh.gif Way to Go, baby!

So, I said, "yum, cereal!" and she said "sh*t" ohmy.gif ohmy.gif ohmy.gif

So, I said "Yum Yum" and she said "Yum Yum"

I think we will skip the word cereal for awile and stick with just "yum yum" LOL rolling_smile.gif

That is so funny! Go Ashley the talker. tongue.gif

Anytime I cuss now (I'm working on it. I only do it when I hurt myself....which is pretty often since I am klutz!) DH starts repeating the word in a really high pitched baby voice with a lisp. "Thit, thit, thit, thit!" "thun of a bith!" It always cracks me up but it is also a pretty effective way to get me to realize how much she is picking up. I really don't want her first words to be those. dry.gif

Hee!! We generally don,t swear in our house, exactly for that reason!!

We start to say something like Sh!t or dammit.... and we modify it to say Sugar and danish

lol

sounds stupid...but it's better having the kids repeat that than somethng else... heh heh

DH and I do this to each other too--now we say things like buttwad and "frell" instead. He's going to grow up saying "buttwad!!"
