Hello everyone Had my 2 week check up yesterday and was in there for 45 minutes and my outcome is i have had my "Show" and the baby is right down there which is why i have been feeling very heavy like there is something between my legs (yep i now know its the baby pregnancy brain). Had some swabs done as im showing white cells again in my pee (3rd time), and still having really bad braxtons that my midwide has told me to be on alert all times as it is not likely im going to see 40 weeks. so to sum up SMUDGE IS READY AND WAITING. She has told me if i start with the pains again and they are continous to go straight to hospital. Hope that everyone else is doing great and all bumps are well....... Thanks for all your support over the last few months your all fantastic |

Good luck!!!!!! At least your doc is giving you some answers. Yesterday I had contractions (not bh, but contractions) every 2 minutes for an hour at which time I called the doc office because I had more than 6 an hour and all they told me to do was lay on my left side and drink a soda and the doc would call me if she felt she needed to. I finally was able to get a bit of relief but they keep coming back every once in awhile. I know it's not labor per se but why won't they call me back! Every time I get up to do anything at work or at home my belly gets ROCK HARD and I am doubling over because it hurts to walk. My appointment is this Friday so I'm hoping I get some answers. Sorry to steal your post, I'm just tired and sick of doctors/nurses today!!!!!!!!! |

How on earth do they expect you to wait till Friday?? Thats un-believable, they should at least have tried to see you same day. How you feeling today?? hope that your pain has eased off xx soooo looking forward to getting into a normal pair of clothes, craig has even bought me a lovely skirt and top from "bench" as my insentive to get back to my former self in time for summer (which means in manchester i might have some time) |

I'm feeling better, but I started having contractions again last night and they weren't very far apart, but then later faded away. So I didn't even bother calling. I just wish I could walk without my belly being so rock hard that it hurts to walk. I'll let you know how tomorrow's appointment goes. I want to be optimistic and think that I'm dilating or effacing or something but I just can't help but to think everything else in my life isn't going my way right now so this probably won't either. I'm sure you'll get back to your "self" quickly. I didn't have the ambition to do it the first time until I was 6 months post-partum. I plan to HOPEFULLY get the ambition a bit earlier this time. Hang in there! |

Hope that all goes well for you tomorrow, let us know. Have you tried having a warm bath?? Sometimes this helps me, not hot just luke warm and try and lie back letting the water swill around your bump. |

Can you get enough water in the tub to go over your bump? I have a 70 gallon garden tub but only a 50 gallon water heater so the water never goes completely over my stomach. DH is getting me a new one though real soon. But I have tried baths and it does help the radiating pains in my back, but for the most part I've found them to be uncomfortable when I'm contracting. I know, weird. |

God i wish i had a big enough bath at our house it must have belonged to a 3ft dwarf as the bath is only tiny if i want to lie fully back i have to rest my legs on the taps. I take a large cup in with me and keep pouring the water over my belly. God im not sure what else can help as when i get mine craig helps me to move around the flat which slowly starts to ease them off, but when he is not there i tend to sit and cry like a big girls blouse God im such a wimp, i wanted the most natural birth i could handle right up till i started with these pains now there is a small part of me wishing that there will be someone available with drugs . Going to see how far i can cope without them though |
