I had a really painfull contraction last night I don't know whether it was Braxton Hicks or not but I'm not due for another two weeks. DH and I had just made love blush.gif Could that have brought it on?

Are you still having them on a regular basis? Sex does induce labor in some woman, so WTG if it worked!! thumb.gif

no not really maybe a little pain here and there but not like last night

Hmmmm. I wouldn't worry too much about it then, unless you're feeling them on a steady pattern. Do you have a Dr. appt this week? You can always wait and ask then. Do you have other signs, like bleeding, or pressure in the pelvis, or cleansing of the bowels (that's a fun one) smile.gif?

If it's not consistent it's probably just BH. Only 2 weeks - I bet you're excited!

yessmiley.gif I think it's BH. Sometimes after sex, you'll experience them. And since it went away, it's not labor. But...sex is a good way to induce labor. wink.gif You'll be getting BH more often now that you're getting closer.

I"m a 1st time Mom, and I remember when I was pg, I wondered how I would know if it was labor or not? The best way to describe BH is like period cramping, kinda tight and uncomfotable but not serious pain.
Labor on the other hand, is constant, non-stop contractions, tighting of the stomach ohmy.gif so much that you can't talk or walk. Lots & lots of pressure, and it's very consistant, and doesn't go away when you relax or lay down. thumb.gif

But, you're getting close! So you never know, it could be any day! biggrin.gif I'm so excited for you! Make sure you keep us posted!

When you feel those, try drinking a glass of water. When I was having a lot of them close to my due date thats what the doc told me to do to help figure out if they were BH or labor. (True labor contractions won't be affected by the water but BH will usually stop.)

Well it was a lot of pain thats why I had to ask because I didn't think Bh hurt that bad I had some pain last night too when I was setting up the nursery and I had a glass of water as a matter of fact lol and it still hurt off and on for about another hour and then I woke up in the middle of the night and usually the baby is moving when I get up but he wasn't so I got a little freaked out but and stayed up for an hour or so worrying but he finally started moving and I breathed a sigh of relief lol Anyways if they are real contractions I hope he waits a little longer I don't have a carseat yet lol and I need to get a few more things as well (procrastinator lol)
