I got the official call from the dr yesterday that the RAST testing we had done on Jake was in, and that to be considered peanut allergic after a skin test the value should be 0.33 or higher..well Jake is 0.35
so we are fairly certain that he is no longer allergic to peanuts or tree nuts.
she said in her professional opinion he is not allergic and he would not have a reaction if he ate one.

I am not going to hand him one though!

also on a side note, I did find out that all this time, he was eating food contaminated with nuts though..pizza hut pizza now has a disclaimer on their website that they do use peanuts in their sauce...
so beware..

now its 18 month of strict egg avoidance and pray this is the end of food allergies.

but I don't understand--if the allergy score is .33 or higher and his came in at .35, how is he not allergic?
Btw, that is great news, I can only imagine the dangers of a nut allergy and a preschool child.... unsure.gif

because she said its so minimal and also that the size of the wheel when they did the skin prick test was just barely there, that he most likely wouldnt show any sign of allergy..
of course its been three yrs of fear so I am not going to test the theory.she said in one yr when we return to test for the other allergies again, we will retest the nut to be sure..
