So....all remains the same. Still allergic to nuts, seeds, lemon, a bit of soy. But there is a new one. CAT! Never came up before. Dog came up before, but not this time. This time it was cat. My sister has a cat and I have never noticed Wil sneezing or anything around him. But test clearly showed a reaction. sad.gif I know cat isn't too big of a worry. Won't be life-threatening like the foods, but still a burden for a little guy to have to avoid, he loves animals. Anyhow, new doc told me that the Benadryl is actually more crucial to have on-hand at all times than the epi-pen. I was really shocked to hear this. He told me that you always administer Benadryl first then the epi. Anyone else know this? I carry those one-dose little plastic Benadryl packs with Wil's epi, but I'm not sure it's enough. Never put too much thought to the Ben. unsure.gif

Anyhow, glad that another year is down accident free. And that he had a good checkup. I hate to hear that there is an additional allergen, but at least its not a food. wink.gif

I'm sorry some of the allergies hadn't gone away hug.gif but glad he's otherwise healthy!

I did know that about the Benadryl, I have anaphylactic reactions to cucumbers, melons, bananas, and other foods (I can eat some and deal with the mild reaction, but if I eat more than I'm supposed to, my throat swells shut) ANYWAY, thats how I heard about it, the last time I was worried about a reaction they gave me Benadryl at the ER before anything else and said to do that every time. It's enough to handle the mild reactions and buys time on the more severe ones.

Glad it's not another food too! That's much harder to avoid.

You know, I became allergic to cats during college. It's bizarre how sometimes that just sneaks up- I had never had reactions until I was right around 20 wacko.gif but had been around cats my whole life!
