Congrats! I am so glad that things are improving with Megan.
I just didnt really like Jakob when he was so upset and sick all the time, and he was in pain all the time, and feeling crappy, so he wasnt fun to be around..and after 3 yrs when he finally started to heal and feel better, he turned into the sweetest little kid ever..we can still find ourselves so taken back by him when he laughs a real belly laugh..it was something he never did before..
I hope she keeps making strides...you are not crazy..you are absolutely correct in what you are and have been doing..

You know, I miss my cuddle monkey, though. When she wasn't feeling well she cuddled with me more...now she doesn't. But knowing that she was in so much pain...well I'm glad she's not now, so I'll take what I get. I'm just amazed at how she plays with other kids now and isn't sitting in a corner some where not wanting to play. I think this will help with her sensory issues more, as well.

you know you are right the cuddley stuff does go away for a while, its like this new found independance, because the pain is gone, and they are free to go out and play, they feel good for once, but at least for Jake the cuddles did come back..
as long as I understood daily, that he is big boy now! not a baby!
he even makes me call him Jakob BIG!

Darn those doctors who thought I was insane torturing my daughter to find out why she wasn't gaining and why she didn't feel well. Now she is so happy, healthier, and just a totally different child all together. I'm getting to know my daughter all over again 4 years later, because she is no where near the child she once was.
