Words do not even describe the actions or lack there of for the parents of this little boy!

Wow - I'm glad he and the other folks on the road were all ok. That is sad.... it makes you wonder why his mother was so unfit as to not be allowed to be alone with them.

Who seriously expects their 6 year old to get on the bus by themselves. The bus picks McKaylee up at the end of our driveway and I still sit on the porch or at least watch her from the window. She isn't even allowed to play by herself in the front yard..let alone stand out there and wait for a bus.

Breakfast seems to have been his primary motivation...this poor kid probably doesn't get fed if he doesn't get to school. sad.gif

OMG... this boy is ASHLEY's age!!! I don't leave her in the car alone (in the back seat in a booster seat), I couldn't imagine her trying to drive a car! ohmy.gif

I am sure there is more to the story with the Mom since the Dad was under court order not to leave the kids alone with the Mom. It's not the poor kids fault.

The thing I keep thing of is how amazing is that child to be motivated to go to school and to obtain the resources to do so, living in a home with such little supervision?
My kid wouldn't even get himself out of his jammies alone, let alone get himself anywhere on time. This child obviously has a drive that will get him somewhere in life. ( no pun intended) rolling_smile.gif

What a blessing that no one was hurt. Could you imagine driving along the highway and being passed by a 6 year old standing up and driving? huh.gif

ohmy.gif OMG!!!!! That is just...I don't know, I can't find the words!!! When Emily and Spencer were out of the area for the school bus, I worried about them walking to school and walking home from school. Had it not been for the reassurance of our CAS worker I would have been walking them and picking them up and they were in grades 2 & 4. I always got up, made them breakfast and walked them out to the school bus, even when I was pregnant with Claudia, even after she was born. That is just unbelievable!
