Just wondering if there are any other UFC fans on the board, I have really gotten into it in the last 1 1/2 yrs or so. Shamrock/Ortiz III is on tonight and just wondering if anyone else was going to watch it?

I watch the reality show one with dh. I'm not a big fan of it as I think it's a little to barbaric for myself, I use to be like that with boxing until I watched the UFing. DH is gone for 7 weeks so I don't have to watch it, although when I do watch it with him I do rather enjoy it. OK really, I only watch it with him because of the HOT HOT bodies on them men. Holy crap. sun.gif sun.gif

I think it is less barbaric than boxing but glad to see someone else watches it too.

I'm not a father but I saw this post from the outside and decided to step in. I hope it's alright. blush.gif

I love UFC! The last Ortiz and Shamrock fight was a sham! I think Shamrock shoule have been able to finish even though it was obviouse he was going to lose. They kept saying he was knocked out and he wasn't because he got up right away. He got jipped. He should have been able to lose without the Ref stepping in. Last night he got his @ss kicked and I'm sure it would have happend the last time but... DH was rooting for Ortiz and I was going for Shamrock. After last nights fight I think he knows he's done. sad.gif He had a good ride though.

Now Ortiz goes up against Chuck. rolling_smile.gif That's going to be a good one for sure. Chuck is going to lay him out. biggrin.gif

I agree, Liddell is going to pull it out although it will be a good fight. I knew shamrock was going to be whipped but I thought it would go a little longer. He was a great fighter but it is time for him to move on. Any thoughts on the Franklin fight on Sat?

We watched last night also. DH came home for the purpose of watching it. Wasn't so bad, we were going for Ortiz (of course, he's latin).

No thoughts on that one yet. DH keeps track of the schedule. I have to admit that I got hooked accidently. happy.gif My computer is behind our couch faciing the t.v. THat should explain it all. DH never misses a fight or the little show they have. I don't watch the show but I do the fights. I didn't even know last nights fight was going to be on until DH came home early from running his rabbit dogs. dry.gif

I love UFC(prefer Pride to UFC..but still..)! BTW..I'm not a father either! LOL

I don't like to use the word HATE...so I'll say that I STRONGLY DISLIKE the "Huntington Beach Bad Boy"! he's so cocky and I just don't like Tito!
I told my DH last night when it was coming on that Shamrock was going to get his butt kicked..there is a HUGE difference in 31 and 42 yrs old..i mean it stinks..but fact of the matter is at 42, you're just past your prime athletically for the most part! I was sad to see him lose and was actually quite shocked that they stopped the fight so early on, considering THAT was the whole reason they were even fighting again, not to mention the reason it was FREE on Spike!

I wish it would have lasted longer at least!

yeah but it was pretty obvious that Shamrock was out, he even said he was when they first started talking to each other.
