Ahhh, my doctor's office just called and confirmed my laproscopic surgery for Monday! unsure.gif I'm nervous! We decided (doc and I) to do the surgery now rather than later due to some recent "episodes". I have NO time to be off of work for this, so I'm stressed out even more. This is the "end stretch" of the legislative session and I've been off so much this year for the girls AND this is the "end stretch" for school activities so am going to be gone alot for them in the next month. Ok, Im' majorly stressed! My boss seemed ok with it as long as I'm not gone more than 2 days, but my coworker seemed a little peeved. She said "oh wow, you are going to be gone a lot next week, aren't you?" growl.gif That's because besides being gone 2 days for the surgery, Megan also has a field trip for school on Friday that she can't go if I don't go with her.

SO cross your fingers they figure out what my female problems are and that I recover VERY QUICKLY as I have to be back at work on Wednesday no matter what and feeling AWESOME enough to be on a field trip all day long on my feet (children's museum) on Friday.

Sounds like Kentuckychick is bouncing back quickly, so I'm sure I will too.

Good luck!! hug.gif I'll be praying for you this time around!

Really, it's not too bad, I promise (I'm not one to downplay wink.gif ) Right now, 24 hours later I'm sore and my stitches are stingy, but as far as pain, the meds they give you work really well.

When I said that earlier about using the bathroom... it was painful, yes, because they cath you for the procedure, but honestly it burnt the first and second time and after that it was back to normal. I just wasn't expecting it at all.

I took a shower about two hours ago and it was probably one of the greatest showers ever. It just felt so good to be under the warm water.

I hate that you don't have time off... I have until Monday and then I'm back to work in one of the older classrooms. Just make sure and rest for the time you do get. I've slept a lot in the past 24 hours and it feels good to just lay down and sleep.

Rachel.....your scaring me! I have to back to work on Wednesday. laugh.gif wacko.gif Ugh! So is it painful to sit? Because that's what I'll be doing all day Wednesday and Thursday. Although I'm a bit more freaked out about being on a bus for an hour ride, walking a museum for 3+ hours, then another hour bus ride back with 20+ Pre-K'ers on Friday. If I have to cancel Megan will be so disappointed because she won't be able to go.

I have my pre-op in the morning so hopefully my doctor will calm my fears more, although she thinks no one has pain ever. dry.gif rolleyes.gif

I'm glad you are feeling better. thumb.gif

Aw, don't be scared! hug.gif

I'm sore this evening because we had to redress my belly button but I'm still hanging in there.

Wednesday may be pushing it as far as going back to work -- my doctor said three days minimum, but that's something you'll just have to see about.

Sitting is no more painful than laying down and can actually be better as far as the gas pains go, so there's that.

I agree with Lisa though, try your best not to stress about it!

Talk to your doctor tomorrow and see what she says! Good Luck!

Thank you, Rachel for the reassurance.

We saw the doc this morning and she mentioned I might need at least one more day. So we'll see. If I'm not at work on Wednesday there are gonna be some angry people. tongue.gif I wouldn't feel terrible about being gone if I didn't have Megan's field trip on Friday as well.

NEWays, the doc thinks it's possible I may have some urology disease (Ryan nor I could pronounce it and didn't write it down - we'll have to ask her again on Monday) that may be causing a lot of my pain. Especially since I had 3 bladder infections in a very short period of time. SO if it's not endo she's going to refer me to a urologist and she said even if I do have endo she still might refer me because it could be both causing the problems. She gave me some scenerios if I do have endo and that's either the Lupron (which I am not fond of) or flying me to see some specialist that will "radically" go in and cut out all the endo. She knew of a specialist in another state, but wasn't sure about one closer to home, so we'll see. Ryan wants me to try the lupron first if it is indeed endo. I'm sure all these might change after the surgery.

I'll try to check in Tuesday morning at least and let you know how it went. KMP on your progress as well. hug.gif hug.gif

I know it's no fun but I also know you will fine.
Take a couple of days to take care of yourself.

You're welcome hug.gif

I'm feeling pretty decent today, but I would say definitely take that day off if you can. I'm up and about, but still a bit sore. It's beautiful outside today so I'm going to go out pretty soon and read for a few hours in the sunshine.

I do hope you find some answers soon. Did she say if the urological disease she thinks you may have could be caused by endo? I know endo can affect your bladder and your colon and really any other organ anywhere near your uterus.

My mom is who was in the waiting room and today was the first time I really talked to her about what all the doctor said since I've been a little out of it the past two days. She said for me the doctor wants to do Lupron, Nuva Ring or Danzol... none of which sound great to me... but I guess we'll see.

I'll definitely be praying that everything turns out okay!
