DH and I are coaching Kylie's softball team laugh.gif He signed up to coach Colt but they desperately needed a girls coach and he was the only one willing to do it soooo....that means I'm doing it too rolling_smile.gif

First and second graders, most of them haven't played before. I played one year of recreational softball and DH hasn't played baseball since middle school. There should be some good stories come out of this laugh.gif

You guys will be great! The girls will have fun while they learn about the sport.

I played softball and co-ed softball after highschool but Ashley was never interested in it. It just figures that the one sport I could help her in is the one that she shows no interest in, lol.

Stephen coached the "coach pitch" 2nd & 3rd grade girls softball last year. Olivia was on the team. He loved the girls . . .the parents not so much. He did alot of shifting girls around to different positions so they could get a feel for it but it was harder for them to get the nuances of each position (like where they were supposed to throw the ball & when laugh.gif) Expect ALOT of playing in the dirt in the outfield (and infield) and really try to get the pink tye dye for your team colors~it's the envy of the age group! rolling_smile.gif
