We joined the YMCA in the beginning of October and we've been going about 3x per week. I haven't lost a single pound But, I did just do some measurements and I've lost 2.75" on my waist, an inch on my thighs, 1.5" on my butt and an inch on my arms! It would just be nice to see the scale move a bit |

Congrats on the inches! I know it's frustrating, keep it up though, keep in mind too that muscle is heavier so even if the scale doesn't move, the fact you're losing inches is a great start!!! |

Congratulations!! Give it more time for the scale to go down. I was just as disappointed in the lack of weight loss after six weeks of a similar routine at the Y. Now after six months, it's really happening. Amy, do you do about 20 minutes of weight-bearing cardio (like running on the treadmill) and then move to 30 minutes of weight-training on the equipment? When I switched to a routine that included weight training, I saw more obvious results more quickly. Just doing cardio only took me so far. |

Yes, I'm doing about 20-30min on the bike then weight training. I really do notice a difference, just can't get the weight to go anywhere. Of course, I haven't changed my eating habits AT ALL, so that may be a contributing factor |

Good for you Amy! Keep up the good work. You'll see the scale go down in no time. |
