I need to get some shorts for several golf events I have this summer for work. I get to go away for 4 days, get golf lessons, massages, and play golf with a bunch of other business managers this summer. I also have several other golf events. biggrin.gif Anyways, like I said I need to get some shorts for that. I was looking online and saw "scooters" which I had always called skorts long ago. Are these in style now? Is anyone here wearing them? I'd like to buy what I can wear at home as well as on the golf course - so nothing too fancy, but cute and stylish.

Any thoughts on scooters?

Heck if I did get these I could wear these on Mondays and Fridays for work too - so that would be a plus. happy.gif

I've never heard of scooters, but I just bought Blakely two skorts yesterday smile.gif . Anyways, they sound cute, and what a big plus that you could wear them to work as well!

I have no clue if they are back in style but I remeber a huge debate about skorts on here a year or two ago biggrin.gif

Do you mean the ones that look like shorts in the back with a flap on the front? Or the ones that are like a skirt with shorts underneath? Either way, I don't know about the latest golf trends but they are what I wear when I play. I prefer the ones that are like a skirt with shorts under but do wear both.

I've gotten some really cute ones at Old Navy and JC Penneys and I think I even got some at Target last year...not sure who else has them this year. You can also do a search for "golf skirts" but they're definitely more sporty looking and would be hard to pull off anywhere other than the golf course. I have a really cute one that is like a cargo skirt/skort thing and another that is just plain black, it looks like a black mini skirt.

Tommy Bahama has AWESOME womens golf clothes that do look less athletic inspired but they're expensive, not sure how much you want to spend.

I have 2 pair, and I love them both. I wear them all the time. thumb.gif they are the kind that are skirts all the way around, not just in front.

Ok, I got some of these and I absolutely LOVE LOVE them. thumb.gif They are so comfortable. I wore a black pair today with a really nice shirt and low heels. I actually feel comfortable but look dressy enough for work. It's great. thumb.gif

Where'd you get them, Karen? I've been looking for some denim ones for awhile now.

I haven't seen any denim ones. I got them at B. Moss Company in our mall. I LOVE that store. I bought 3 pairs, 2 plain colored ones, and one plaid one - so I can wear a dressier shirt with them for work and a plain t-shirt type shirt for the weekends.

I think I saw them advertised at Kohl's too, but I didn't look there.

I don't know if I know what scooters are but I know that you can find alot of cute ladies golfwear (that doesn't necessarily look different from regular skort type bottoms) at a sportswear store. I have two skorts in particular that are for golf but look like regular casual skirts and I love them. I think I picked them up at SportMart or Golf Galaxy or something.

You might not be able to get away with that particular type for work, but it would work for your outings. Just an idea!

Thanks Bria. Scooters are apparently shorts with a skirt over them. Kind of like the scorts, but there is a skirt "sleeve" in back as well. I did find some that would work for both golf outings and work. I do plan to get a few "golf" type ones when I go on my golf trip soon. I know as soon as I hit the golf pro shops I'll see some cute ones I'll have to have. Since works pays I won't be able to resist. tongue.gif
