Anthony's **** is a little on the red side. He said it hurts and when we pull the foreskin back, it hurts a bit.

I guess Ron hasn't been checking while I was away to make sure that he was cleaning it properly thinking that he would (at 4 and 5) just do it himself mad.gif

Anyway, anything I can do to make it better. Today I just gave him a warm bath, cleaned it good with water only and put some polysporin on it.

Alex got a yeast infection once. His doc perscribed an antifungal cream...same thing as an over the counter jock itch cream.
Poor little guy I hope he feels better soon, I'm sure its painful!

I think I would just wash it, is he circumcised? if not dont pull it back to much or it will just make it more sore..clean it and make sure its pulled all the way back up.
if he is..then maybe something with zinc in it?
warm bath sounds right also blush.gif

Hello Cant Wait. I read about your problem and wanted to offer a little advice as a pediatrician. If your son is not circumcised, the foreskin should not be able to be fully retractable until the age of 5 or so. When the foreskin does not retract because of this, it is possible that he might be at increased risk for an infection, which is called balanitis. It can be caused by a number of things including poor hygiene, bacteria, fungus, etc. I would not try to pull his foreskin back completely at this point and would see your pediatrician to see if they can recommend a cream. I hope that this helps!
