OK mil has been in the hospital since Tuesday because she had a brain aneurysm. I was at the hospital Tuesday night. Before I left I picked up something to eat on the way up there. Got there around 7, and by 1am, i went to the cafeteria with my sils to get something to eat. Came home around 3am Wednesday where I went back up there around 9pm that night to stay the night because MIL was supposed to have surgery Thursday morning. We again had a late snack at around 11 because I didn't really eat much during the day. I went to sleep around 1am and then woke up around 8 feeling bad. Turns out I had a stomach virus. i was able to eat breakfast before really feeling bad, and eventually had to go home. I was still sick all day yesterday so I wasn't there when MIL finally had her surgery.

I weighed myself this morning and it said I have lost 10 pounds since Monday. All I had was some nausea and a few times on Friday had to run to the rest room, but had stomach craps on Thurs. I didnt eat the rest of the day Thurs and then yesterday I barely ate. Is it possible to lose 10 pounds even though I had eaten very badly the couple days before getting ill? I didnt throw up or anything?

I guess since my family has a history of diabetes I freak out over every little thing. I am happy for the weight loss, and will work hard to continue it, but I guess I'm just very surprised.

I'm no doc, but I would be concerned about dehydration - with you running around so much perhaps you are not drinking enough? It would be great to think it's really 10 pounds but it doesn't seem likely...and I hope your MIL is OK!

I was thinking dehydration too. At least for part of it. It's likely you have lost some actual weight but I'm sure some of it is just water weight.
