Anyone else deal with this? I just got tested for this, and my results are depressing . My cortisol is very low, meaning my adrenal glands aren't functioning properly. And I'm hypothyroid as well. I guess this explains a lot of my symptoms. I don't know where to go from here. There is so much information out there, I'm overwhelmed to say the least. But I'll have to get this taken care of before I have another baby. I still don't have AF yet either. |

Mollie - I have not heard of this. Can you tell me what your symptoms are? |

Hugs, I don't know anything about Adrenal Fatigue but I have hypothyroidism and have been diagnosed since 1992 and have had my medication doesages skyrocket after each baby and never come back down. Hang in there. |

Oh boy, where to start.....tired all the time, can't concentrate, bad memory, brittle hair & nails, sensitive to light, chronic depression (even though I'm on Zoloft, it doesn't help ), inability to lose weight, always gaining, no libido, major anxiety/worry, no motivation at all, the list can go on. Here's a link with a long list of symptoms: http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/long-and-pathetic/?PHPSESSID=2019785b9b4c4cfcb0c04139efd94e97 . And here's info on adrenals: http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/adrenal-info/ . I'm not sure what I should do next, since the one doctor I went to said my thyroid was fine & that he should just bump up my Zoloft . Thank you for the hugs . |

Thanks Jessica! I wish I knew which doctor to call; the ones here all have superiority complexes . I guess I'll have to start with them, no matter how much I don't like them. |

I think I have the opposite problem. I have entirely too much cortisol roaming around in my system. Want some of mine????????? |

Never heard of adrenal fatigue, although the majority of the symptoms you quoted were almost mine to a T before I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Mine has been very well managed on synthriod since the mid/late 1980's. Hope you find a good doc and feel better soon. Meds made ALL the difference for me! |

I had never heard of adrenal failure, but a friend of mine just found out she has it. She has had the exact same symptoms as you, they did find a nodule on her thyroid but don't think it's related. Anyway, she's done a lot of research and is feeling pretty good about whatever course of treatment she's chosen. I can try to find out more about it if you'd like. Hang in there, at least now you know why you're feeling so bad |

I'd LOVE more info if you could get it Monica, especially what treatment she's doing. The more info I have, the better! |
