I was a single mom for about 4 yrs or so and the only advice I can give you is to cherish the times you do have with your children and take it one day at a time.

| Hi All, My name is John, I have two angels Daisy (9) and Jack (almost 6). Separated 16 months and getting a dvc. Joint custody but the Mrs hasn't worked during the marriage. The children are principally with her but stay with me a couple of nights a week, when I am not working. I work in film and TV so sometimes I'm off and others I'm doing 70 hr weeks. Finding a balance between work, parenting and having a life is very difficult. Any thoughts or advice Thanks a lot John |

 Hi and welcome. I'm Monica, SAHM to 5yo twins Kylie & Colt, and 4yo Macie.I'm not officially a single parent, but my DH is gone for a month at a time. You just do the best you can, don't beat yourself up, and enjoy your kids when they're with you. |
