of our SO/HUBBY/WIFE? ok here is some things that make me think why am i with this guy...LOL.. its all in good fun! 1... When marcus eats chips, or bread or pizza he makes this awful chewing sound. Its like his lips are smacking together really loudly! I do everything in my power to not back hand him upside the head.. see all in good fun though! 2... SNORES!!! OMG guys i have spent alot of time kicking him, yelling at him and even plugging his nose at night to make him stop. It comes to where its 3am and im still awake because of teh buzzsaw beside me so i crash on teh couch! 3... Sleeps in... ok i know it sounds horrible because jenna is not his BUT we will eb up late because he kept me awake doing ( clearing throat) and jenna wakes up at 730am and im up with her while lazy butt sleeps in till 1100am. I even get her to non chalantly make her way up the stairs and have her yell down to me and he doesnt budge. It usually doesnt bother me but if he is the one that kept us awake then yes it irks me. And he will sit here and say.. its 11pm hun im goign to bed because WE have to get up with jenna when she gets up early.. WE...LOLOLOL thats funny! 4... we have had fights before and he will push and push and push. like after jennas surgery i was dealing with everything .. waking up every hour soothing jenna back to sleep, helping her calm down from the cramping, giving her meds every few hours, running up and down the stairs, etc etc etc and i snapped at marcus bigtime. he said shelly we need to talk this out i kept telling him to please i am really stressed and mad and i just need a cooling off please leave me and when im cooled off we can talk this out. and he said no we need to talk now. and then he will sit there and say cmon shelly cmon shelly over and over again liek a 2 year old. GRRR. he does everytime. BUt guys I love him just trying to get over the quirks he has..LOLOLOLOLOL |

The snoring will be forever unless he gets the surgery bc Ed snores also and it doesnt get better lol When I get the what for when I have been bad he has this little laugh that just ticks me off to no end and I give him the look and I keep my mouth shut bc I will say something that I dont not mean. Wakes up in the middle of the night 2 to 3 times but he stays on the edge of the bed and rocks in his sleep bc he fell asleep sitting up |

The way he eats is probably the one that sticks out most for me. He eats the European way with fork in left hand and knife in right. Knife always in hand while you eat. Fine, buuuutttttt...instead of cutting his food with the knife like one should, or using it to just slightly push the food on the fork, he shovels the food on the fork in this huge pile. His one bite can be five bites for the normal person. Like Jen said, he looks like he has never seen food before. Sometimes he doesn't even cut his steak. Just forks it and bites down. So gross. |

1.He grabs my butt EVERYWHERE and makes it obvious... at the store fine.. but at church? Not so fine. 2.When he knows I'm upset he teases me, I'm sitting there frustrated and grumpy and he's making kissy noises or baby voices. I'm not amused. 3. Whenever we're shopping if we're in a 100 ft radius of Best Buy he HAS to go.. doesn't matter if we were just there yesterday. 4. He's wayyy too overprotective, he feels like he has to take care of me which then leads to bossing me. 5. The man can take 2 second throw on a crumpled shirt and pants and looks better than me and then sits there while I do my makeup and hair, etc. I know he's human so there has to be SOMETHING he doesn't look good in. Ugh. |

Dh bounces his leg. All the time. It drives me crazy. why the heck can't he sit still? |
Posted by: mysweetpeasWil&Wes Sep 10 2007, 01:09 PM
My DH does this too. We get those Best Buy reward coupons in the mail and he HAS to go, even if we're broke, he finds something to buy. And like he does at Home Depot, he spends hours in there looking at the same thing...or every aisle. |
Posted by: mummy2girls Sep 10 2007, 01:34 PM
OH My Marcus does this too. he is constantly fidgeting!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Posted by: gr33n3y3z Sep 10 2007, 01:39 PM
Ed is doing that right NOW!!!! |
Posted by: PrairieMom Sep 10 2007, 02:31 PM
AUGH! tell him to sit still! my DH does it in the car and gets the whole thing shaking from side to side. |
Posted by: TANNER'S MOM Sep 10 2007, 02:52 PM |
His way or the highway. I hate the way I can clean house all day and then he can come home and say what did you do all day? He keeps the house so cold! |
Posted by: luvmykids Sep 10 2007, 04:25 PM
Me too! And I hate the affectionate butt smack. If it's supposed to be affectionate, why does he do it so hard? Takes FOREVER to get ready. I mean he is a guy, come on, how long can it possibly take? Asks me to feed in the morning, leaves for the day, then calls to tell me there is no feed |

She tells me to sit still all the time. I am a chronic leg-bouncer. I'll have to work on that and my "little naughty Lisa laugh." She's right. I do this, but until now I didn't realize how much it galled her. Now, on her side, the only thing that really bothers me about Lisa is that she MUST be the driver no matter where she sits in the vehicle. In other words she has multi-positional road rage. She will cuss out another driver whether she's behind the wheel or not. |
Posted by: Calimama Sep 10 2007, 08:11 PM
I'm guilty of that. I'm backseat/passenger seat driver. Drives DH nuts. |
Posted by: gr33n3y3z Sep 11 2007, 03:21 AM
yes that is me I drove him nuts for 18 hours going to Fl |
Posted by: lisar Sep 11 2007, 07:23 AM |
Snoring OMG my dh snores so bad. And when the toilet paper roll is empty CHANGE IT And could he please hit the dirty clothes basket. Just once. Oh and he takes his socks off everynight in the living room and leaves them there. |
Posted by: lovemy2 Sep 11 2007, 07:59 AM
1) Oh yeah - that is a big one for me 2) and same as lisar - EVERYDAY sometimes twice a day - takes off his socks and leaves them on the floor 3) I will get up to start cleaning up dishes after dinner and he will sit there and shove his dish over to me across the counter - like I am the maid - GET UP and HELP pick up.... 4) Can walk by a clothes basket full of clean clothes or something on the stairs to go up or down and leave it there - sometimes he will even move it out of his way to get where he is going without taking it to where it needs to be and FINALLY 5) Has no idea where anything in our house goes even though it has all been there for over two years now....seriously most things aren't moved................. |
Posted by: moped Sep 11 2007, 08:03 AM
OH THE TOILET PAPER ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Posted by: TANNER'S MOM Sep 11 2007, 08:42 AM |
Randy hollers where's my socks. Umm in the same D sock drawer they have been in for the last 10 years?? Cause I picked them up from the floor! I hate that he thinks b/c he is home I have to be with him. Like if I am on the computer he wants me in the living roon watching TV with him. But if he is on the computer it's fine. I hate the way he says.. Well I worked all day. So big deal baby..you worked all day. How many days have I worked? I guess I do nothing. A big fat fairy comes and does everything around here except wipe your butt. No guys I am not bitter today! |
Posted by: mysweetpeasWil&Wes Sep 11 2007, 08:59 AM |
Oh man these are funny....Do we all have the same DH? Here's a few more: When giving the kids medicine or cooking something like rice, my DH always asks "so how much do I give him?" or "how much water do I put in?".....JUST READ THE BOX!!! He always saves jam jars assuming I will use them someday! We have a million empty jars in the cupboard and I DON'T EVER USE THEM!! He says they are great for storing nails and screws, but I look outside on his workbench and his nails and screws are NOT in the jars! DH plays hockey, comes in the door by the laundry room, throws his jersey and pants and one pair of socks in the wash and washes HIS clothes. Great, but it would be so much nicer if he could go upstairs and empty the laundry basket and do a FULL load for all of us. What a waste of water! And yes, my DH never knows where anything is. "Where are my sunglasses honey?".....Well where did you leave them? |
Posted by: PrairieMom Sep 11 2007, 09:36 AM |
Oh Rae that reminds me, when Dh puts food in the microwave he always asks "how long do I put it in for?" I DON"T KNOW! put it in for a minute, stick your finger init, if its hot, its done, if not, put it in longer. Its not that hard. Commme ooonnn!!!! |

geez Tara, bitter much? |
Posted by: TheOaf66 Sep 11 2007, 10:17 AM |
I know Jennie won't have any cuz I am perfect |
Posted by: lovemy2 Sep 11 2007, 10:39 AM
Yep MOn - mine does that too - except with a twist - whenever we are going out and he is running late or we have to go somewhere shortly after he gets home from work - he takes a shower and that is ALWAYS the time he picks to cut his hair too - AND - he always cuts his hair on the days I clean the bathroom so all those little short hairs end up on the floor and he thinks he cleans them up |
Posted by: momofone Sep 11 2007, 01:00 PM |
Stubborness - does not listen to my advice on things. |
Posted by: PrairieMom Sep 11 2007, 01:50 PM
Well, really, How does he think that I figure stuff out? was I born fully equipped with a microwave cook book in my head? |
Posted by: moped Sep 11 2007, 01:52 PM
FOr some reason that made me HOWL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Posted by: moped Sep 11 2007, 01:54 PM |
Ok, Tara you might find this kind of funny. One night I made hard shell tacos - ya know those? Well I lay everything out on the island and call him and he says, Ok, what do I do now? How do we do this? WHAT - you don't know how to eat a darn taco????? |
Posted by: PrairieMom Sep 11 2007, 01:56 PM
amazing they can even get their shoes on some times huh? Then he's always like "why are you talking to me like I'm stupid? " |
Posted by: mummy2girls Sep 11 2007, 03:36 PM |
Marcus the other night was in the kitchen with me while i was making stuffed potatoes. i wanted him to fry the onions for the potatoes and he actually looked at me and says how do i do that? Then i told him i need i small scoop of butter he says scoop? and looks at me like i had a second head...LOL. |
Posted by: mummy2girls Sep 11 2007, 03:38 PM
OMG Marcus does this too. on friday he will come home from work ( he only comes on weekends) and he plops himself down on the couch and then off comes his socks... |

This makes pet-peevedom? You're kidding, right? |
Posted by: Maddie&EthansMom Sep 11 2007, 05:05 PM |
1. His snoring! 2. He's a workaholic and is never home and yet he wants to run this household and tell me how things should be done. I do them MY way thankyouverymuch. 3. He refuses, flat out goes out of his way to do things the opposite of how I do them 4. He cannot keep his hands off of me (okay, I like this one most of the time ) 5. When I'm in a bad mood and need my distance he thinks this is an invitation to #@$@ me off more. The biggest pet peeve is that he won't upgrade from our FULL SIZED BED to a king!!! |
Posted by: PrairieMom Sep 11 2007, 05:05 PM
no, but it reminded me that DH annoys me. |
Posted by: Calimama Sep 11 2007, 05:22 PM
I'd order the bed while he was at work. |
Posted by: redchief Sep 11 2007, 05:38 PM
Aww... he wants to be close! Heheh... We have a queen sized. Either a king won't fit or I'm not allowed to claim the bed... nope, a king won't fit in the room. |
Posted by: punkeemunkee'smom Sep 11 2007, 07:38 PM
Ok you do realize that he is no dummy and #3 and the whole bed thing totally go hand in hand! And we have a King...it doesn't help! There is just more room for him to move around and put his hands on you Trust me! |
Posted by: Maddie&EthansMom Sep 12 2007, 04:50 AM
Ed, you're right. He is such a snuggler. I love it when I'm trying to go to sleep, but once I'm asleep I want my space. |
Posted by: coasterqueen Sep 12 2007, 05:59 AM |
Ok. I just realized I'm a lot like your husbands. Now, there is something wrong with that because I KNOW I'm female. I'd really like to hear what our husbands say about us. I for one am the "it's my way or the highway". I thought all women were like that. I take my socks off in the living room or where ever and leave them there. I put something in the microwave and ask DH "how long?". I am a back seat driver. I could go on. Pet peeves when it comes to DH: 1. Snores 2. Never tells me whether he really likes something or not - like paint color etc. I end up finding out 8 years later he doesn't like it - so then I change it but still not sure if he likes the new change. kwim? 3. Trims his toenails WITH his fingers (not clippers) in my living room then I find pieces later. In all fairness he is getting better at this. 4. He sweats terribly in bed. In all fairness we hope we have solved this issue with the new bed we are getting. 5. His bad breath 24/7. In all fairness he IS trying to fix this one now. He really just needs to go get his tonsils out and the doc said it would cure that issue. Ick! 6. His lack of style - and I mean there IS no style. We are fixing this one, too. I just bought him 3 new pairs of shoes (totally out of his comfort style range), a new dress shirt and tie that he would never pick out in a million years. He said for me to go pick out more for him. 7. His lack of desire to upkeep our home, yard and vehicles. This one bugs the crap out of me more than anything. Well, except #2 - they are right there together. |

Its the "Mother" in us. Deep down we gotta take care of somebody. |
Posted by: TheOaf66 Sep 12 2007, 06:26 AM
well then don't complain about it and isn't that why you have kids? |
Posted by: Maddie&EthansMom Sep 12 2007, 08:45 AM
Same here. My DH is actually the neat freak in our house. Unfortunately he's never here to do the work. |
Posted by: MoonMama Sep 13 2007, 12:18 AM |
Ok since I am up at 2 AM with Brae WIDE AWAKE!!!! I'll chime in on this one. He HAS to DVR EVERYTHING! Why can't he watch it when its on? And heaven forbid I watch it without him! If you make the tinyest noise during one of his "shows" he gets so angry and OMG he rewinds it back to way before you made the sound! But he will talk up a storm and bug me for stupid stuff during anything I want to see. And my shows are all "stupid". The big screen TV! He throws his clothes all over the bedroom floor, and the da*n clothes basket it 3 feet away! He can never find anything cause he never puts anything where it goes. Then its "baby do you know where ________ is?" "no I don't" "Can you help me find it?" "NO!!!!!!!" When I ask him to do something when he doesn't want to he magically doesn't know how to do it. And the fact that he takes longer to do his hair then I do! And OMG guys he seriously doesn't even need to comb it! He combs, blowdrys, and hair sprays it! |
Posted by: MoonMama Sep 13 2007, 12:30 AM
That reminds me of a story Jen.... One night I made this taco dip stuff, I had made it before the only thing I did differently was put some on each plate instead of one big bowl. Everything is layered together in a bowl/baking pan. Anyway we sit down taco stuff on each plate with corn chips next to it. And he goes how do I eat this? WTF do you mean how do you eat this? Scoop some onto a chip and eat! |
Posted by: jcc64 Sep 13 2007, 12:01 PM |
Never, and I mean never, finishes a project. He'll get 75% done, and then lose interest. So, my kitchen ceiling is 75% finished, he cut some trees down in the back of the house 5 YRS AGO, but never got around to chopping them up, we built an addition when Corey was born (now in kindergarten), and it's still not done, started digging a pond, and now I have a large gaping hole in my backyard....you get the idea? I'd much rather he never started, tbh.... |
Posted by: coasterqueen Sep 13 2007, 12:11 PM
Oh that one would drive me crazy. DH does this sometimes, but not always. |
Posted by: Calimama Sep 13 2007, 02:17 PM

Posted by: momofone Sep 13 2007, 02:40 PM |
How about the underwear left on the bathroom floor. I used to get where's this where's that now I just say I don't know to everything I get alot less questions asked now. |

I had one come to me...she doesn't rinse her dishes when she puts them in the sink and then the food sticks big time. I have asked repeatedly for her to do this but she doesn't but if that is the worst I have to deal with I can handle it |
