I don't know the history so I didn't get the symbolism, but I guess this display and the music had great meaning to the Ukraine people.

I think it tells the story of WWII.... I could be wrong but that's what I got from it.

Awesome....I'd seen sand animation on a commercial and thought it was cool, but it was nothing compared to this!

Have you guys seen the sand art w/the animals?? Awesome. A local church I used to go to (one of those HUGE ones) had a sand artist come in and do the creation story. Very very cool.

Oh and on a side note. Did anybody else notice that about 7 mins in they played an instrumental string version of Metallica's Nothing Else Matters??

Of course... That was Apocalyptica's rendition of "Nothing Else Matters." They're a Finnish band and have had several rock hits here using english singers... They don't sing, they play rock music with cellos... that's right, cellos.

Anyhow, thanks for sharing. That was incredible and the added bonus of watching while Apocalyptica played in the background made it an audio as well as a visual delight!
