| I didn't get a chance to look over Ashley's homework last night as I had a late appointment. So, I was going over it this morning with her. The question was something like: 28 - A=15 A = _____ Explain how you came up with your answer: Ashley wrote: 28 - A=15 A = 13 Explain how you came up with your answer: I thought real hard, that's all I am still laughing. |

That's what I thought. To me, that's algebra. I'd hate to see what they are doing in middle school these days. I will probably need a tutor by then... LOL. |

| That is totally funny, I love it. "I thought real hard" Yes Math is interesting in middle school. I was a math major in college and have to relearn some of MaryBeth's work. Last night one of her equations was something like this: Reduce: 2x(26xy-9+14xzy) and there were exponents in there, but I don't know how to type them. lol. |

Lol Ashley is so funny! I didn't even realize this was an old post, I must have missed this last year. I was wondering at them giving out homework like that on the first day of school!  |

 I must have missed this too. I think I would have answered like Ashley did.  What they are doing in math is amazing. Kylie was even doing that stuff at the end of first grade last year. I don't even want to think about what we'll see this year.  |
