I seem to be getting mixed opinions of coffee while BF... Is one 16oz cup of coffee okay or should I just stay away from caffeine all together?

You'll keep getting mixed messages.... I drink about 12 ounces of coffee - I pretty much have since I was 13... rolling_smile.gif and I drank it mostly throughout all my pregnancies, and through nursing... I don't think there's anything wrong with it - but then again, it doesn't wake me up, it doesn't keep me up, and my kids don't seem affected by it. So who knows.

I slowed down on the caffeine but still drank it, I tried to time it so it wasn't right at nursing time but even when I drank it right then it didn't seem to affect them.

I drink a HUGE glass of Milo's sweet tea every morning, a diet Mt Dew at lunch time and whatever I can get my hands on when I am at home. Hasn't effected Annika. Just depends who you talk to though. hug.gif
